Just wondering how many people that search these forums play and if you do what server? How long have you been playing and what are your favourite race and class? Also what are you looking forward to most in the MMORPG genre.

I myself am on Horde Perenolde. Right now I'm concentrating on my 70 Orc Warrior but really enjoying a 47 Tauren Druid I made. I have also been playing for 2 years.

As for what I'm looking forward to the most, probably Age of Conan and Warhammer Online. Both look cool and have some interesting features.

Is this "game" like the board game Dungeons and Dragons from back in the early 90's?
Just a little more potent perhaps. I don't play computer games, or xbox. The only games I play are card games up at the cottage with family and friends.

Ahhh WoW...

I used to play a LOT. It got to the point where it was beginning to seriously affect my schoolwork. My GPA dropped and I realized that I was wasting my life away in front of the computer screen. I've never been addicted to anything before in my life, but I was certainly addicted to World of Warcraft. I finally stopped by selling my account during a brief bout of lucidity.

I still remember logging into my Paladin and seeing over 30 days played. AN ENTIRE MONTH OF MY LIFE, GONE. Crazy.

But it was fun :P

MOM! MORE-HOT-POCKETS!

Hilarious and so true for anyone who has or knows someone who has played any online game but especially MMORPGS...I escaped those somehow which is funny because ages ago I was a pen n paper RPGer way back when...

Laughed myself silly at that episode!

Lol .. crack for geeks, i like that.

The game itself is a worldwide phenomenon, outselling pretty much everything before it (yeah even bloody tomb raider).. and worldwide there is an estimated 50million users.

Thats alot of people to label as geeks or nerds and a slightly narrowminded view of computer gaming in general.. one that I personally find quite amusing.
Especially within the media who portrait people who play games as the spotty nerds and yet when some teenage boy or girl picks up a machine gun and sprays bullets into his friends and schoolmates, computer games are the 1st thing they look to to pass the blame onto.

Mass murder doesnt sound like something the conventional view of a geek would do now does it.. he should be at home stacking his pens or writing his novel, see the problem with that label nowadays?.

lord of the rings.. how many of you went to see that? any idea how "geek" it is to have enjoyed that movie?, its been a seminal classic for absolutely ages, a literature masterpeice with a back story so convulated and massive he could have written at least 10+ more books just to explain everything... and its got elves in it just the same as wow, whats the real difference between enjoying that book or that movie and enjoying playing wow or anything of that ilk?

Anyway.. im on there, scarsheild legion eu server lvl70 hunter.

And i still go outside :p

I'm pretty new to the Warcrack. I have a 49 Tauren hunter on Silver hand been playing for about 6 or so months. Blizzard got me with the 10 day free trial, which of course was launched during the south park episode airing, and I got hooked.

Yes it is very addicting. Its so easy to say, I'll finish this one thing off, and the next thing you know your playing for another three hours. I do still work daily, workout five days a week, play softball, camp etc.... I have just stopped watching tv.

Okay, this is my first post!
Hope this works and I don't mess it up too bad!!
lol..
I am a wee bit compy illit.. although I do play WOW
I was introduced by my ex, he played EQ All the time, and I'm not a big TV watcher, so, I tried EQ2, but I found I couldn't lvl past 17 without help and the people I knew who played were way 'bigger' than I was.
SO, World of Warcraft came along!!
Addicted, the people are great and my Guild rocks!
lol..
I'm, on Lothar
I have a 63 rogue that I started with and ditched for my 70 undead Lock.
Look me up some time if you ever hit Lothar (I don't play as often as I'd like)
Sukie is my Lock and Douwanna is my rogue.
Happy Hunting!!

hi my name is TG and im a ffxi addict its been several weeks days i mean hours since my last login.
lol stay away from these games ffxi is the worst one of them all. WoW you can solo and play on your own terms, in ffxi you depend on others and others depend on you to get anything done so you feel obligated to log in. although its not all that bad i now have friends all over the world England, Austrailia, Hong Kong (not RMT lol), Brazil and of course the U.S. to name a few. i even know 3 couples that hooked up through "the game" one is a friend that i know in the "real world" back east.

here a thought is it an addiction or an obsession what do you guys think ?

P.S tried WoW hated it Tarutaru 4 life yo
