Curious: anyone going to the Delaware Today Singles Mingle in northern DE next month? Anyone ever been to one of their events? I've never been to such a thing, and am thinking about going, but I'm wondering: what's the usual age range at such things? Is it just young'uns or what? I would absolutely HATE going in and discovering that I'm 20 years older than everyone else! EEK!
Yes, I have been to the Singles Mingle hosted by DE Today. It is generally a VERY young crowd more between 21-30 or at less it has been for the past 2 years. Plus, it is an excellent target for DUI's.
Ya know what? I went anyway. Just wanted to mention, the average age there was well into the mid 40's or so. Problem I had with it: verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry little to do. Just tons of wine and very potent smelling appetizers (come on! salami!?!? garlic toasts?!?! At a singles hey let's meet someone and really impress them gathering? what?). But hey, at least I went, had some nice conversations etc. Just posting this kind of as an FYI for anyone thinking of hitting one in the future...age is higher than expected!
I'll say, woobums. I was probably the youngest one there. Had the food and drink not been so good, I would've felt majorly gypped out of $35. Still, I'm so hard up for ways to meet people so I'd probably attend the next one!
