Here's a snack that will have you fired up and for water, . I made this for a christmas party at my brother & sister-in-law's bar a few years ago. Everyone was and and for more.

Spicy Party Crackers
1-1/2 cup EVOO(extra virgian olive oil)
1 package dry ranch dressing mix
3 tablespoons of your choice; chili powder, red chili pepper or MicCormick Hot Shot
2 to 3 sprinkles of cayenne pepper, cajun seasoning
You can use spicy's above depending on how hot you want the crackers to be.
1 box of saltine crackers or oyster crackers.

In medium bowl combine EVOO, dressing, chili pepper, cayene pepper. Stir and let sit for about five minutes. Put crackers in a large plastic bowl with lid and then pour th oil mixutre all over the crackers. place lid on bowl, turning and shaking the bowl until all the crackers are coated. They are ready to eat. If you are going to take them at a party, place in large plastic freezer bag. That way you won't have to take a bowl or loose a bowl. If you are having a party, just leave them right in the bowl you used.
Between Becky and I. Playing with the recipe above we came up with this one.
TRIPLE BATCH SPICY PARTY CRACKERS
3/4 cup EVOO
2 packages, dry ranch dressing
2 tablespoons of your choice; chili powder, red chili pepper or MicCormick Hot Shot
2 to 3 sprinkles of cayenne pepper, cajun seasoning
2 box's of saltine crackers or 4 -10 bags of oyster crackers.
Use spicy's above depending on how hot you want the crackers to be.
In medium jar combine; EVOO, dressing, chili powder, red chili pepper, cayene pepper, cajun seasoning micCormick Hot Shot(which ever one you use). Stir well with fork or shake, let sit for five minutes.
Put crackers in large plastic bowl, pour mixture all over crackers then place lid on bowl. Turning and shaking the bowl until all the crackers are coated. They are ready to eat. If you are going to take them at a party, place in large plastic freezer bag. That way you won't have to take a bowl or loose a bowl. If you are having a party, just leave them right in the bowl you used.

For one to two batches use the following amount..1/2 cup of EVOO

careBareInCNY - A.K. A. FunnySpicy.

Just wanted to let u all know this. When you r making the Triple Batch Spicy Party Crackers use the amount of EVOO it says to use. The mixture you use to pour over the crackers. Make a huge batch, pour a little in a cup and use it to brush over all kinds of beef, pork chicken, fish. Add it to sausage and peppers, chili. Drizzle a little from a squirt bottle on subs. Place cooked chicken wings in a bowl, cover with lid and shake and let stand 10 to 15 minutes. Hot mixture can be stored in frige and will never go bad. Use your imagination on different use for it and enjoy.

These sound fantastic! But are they messy (need lots of napkins)? Does the EVOO tend to make the crackers soft if not eaten right away?
