| UFO-Men in Black Phenomena .. Posted: 5/18/2007 2:14:02 PM | I don't know if this is the right thread area to put this. But I have heard stories about these things since I was 10 years old and even there has been reportedly an incident with these guys in my city that I live in back in the early 90's I think.
I have an article here and I was wondering what your opinions are about these guys and do you think they are imposters, some people working for the government or something else.
It's alittle long but this contains the most detailed experiance and report on personal encounters with these men in black.
Rarely - if ever - do the threats of the mysterious Men In Black, following a close encounter, come to anything. So what could be the purpose behind their visits?
In September 1976, Dr Herbert Hopkins, a 58 year-old doctor and hypnotist, was acting as consultant on an alleged UFO teleportation case in Maine, USA. One evening, when his wife and children had gone out leaving him alone, the telephone rang and a man identifying himself as vice-president of the New Jersey UFO Research Organisation asked if he might visit Dr Hopkins that evening to discuss certain details of the case. Dr Hopkins agreed; at the time, it seemed the natural thing to do. He went to the back door to switch on the light so that his visitor would be able to find his way from the parking lot, but while he was there, he noticed the man already climbing the porch steps. "I saw no car, and even if he did have a car, he could not have possibly gotten to my house that quickly from any phone," Hopkins later commented in delayed astonishment.
At the time, Dr Hopkins felt no particular surprise as he admitted his visitor, The man was dressed in a black suit, with black hat, tie and shoes, and a white shirt, "I thought, he looks like an undertaker," Hopkins later said. His clothes were immaculate - suit unwrinkled, trousers sharply creased. When he took off his hat, he revealed himself as completely hairless, not only bald but without eyebrows or eyelashes. His skin was dead white, his lips bright red. In the course of their conversation, he happened to brush his lips with his grey suede gloves, and the doctor was astonished to see that his lips were smeared and that the gloves were stained with lipstick!
It was only afterwards, however, that Dr Hopkins reflected further on the strangeness of his visitor's appearance and behaviour. Particularly odd was the fact that his visitor stated that his host had two coins in his pocket. It was indeed the case. He then asked the doctor to put one of the coins in his hand and to watch the coin, not himself. As Hopkins watched, the coin seemed to go out of focus, and then gradually vanished. "Neither you nor anyone else on this plane will ever see that coin again," the visitor told him. After talking a little while longer on general UFO topics, Dr Hopkins suddenly noticed that the visitor's speech was slowing down. The man then rose unsteadily to his feet and said, very slowly; "My energy is running low - must go now - goodbye." He walked falteringly to the door and descended the outside steps uncertainly, one at a time. Dr Hopkins saw a bright light shining in the driveway, bluish-white and distinctly brighter than a normal car lamp. At the time, however, he assumed it must be the stranger's car, although he neither saw nor heard it.
MYSTERIOUS MARKS
Later, when Dr Hopkins family had returned, they examined the driveway and found marks that could not have been made by a car because they were in the centre of the driveway, where the wheels could not have been. But the next day, although the driveway had not been used in the meantime, the marks had vanished. Dr Hopkins was very much shaken by the visit, particularly when he reflected on the extraordinary character of the stranger's conduct. Not surprisingly, he was so scared that he willingly complied wdith his visitor's instruction, which was to erase the tapes of the hypnotic sessions he was conductiog with regard to his current case, and to have nothing further to do with the investigation. Subsequently, curious incidents continued to occur both in Dr Hopkin's household and in that of his eldest son. He presumed that there was some link with the extraordinary visit, but he never heard from his visitor again. As for the New Jersey UFO Research Organisation, no such institution exists.
Dr Hopkins' account is probably the most detailed we have of a MIB (Man in Black) visit, and confronts us with the problem at its most bizarre. First we must ask ourselves if a trained and respected doctor whould invent so strange a tale, and if so, with what conceivable motive? Alternatively, could the entire episode have been a delusion, despite the tracks seen by other members of his family? Could the truth lie somewhere between reality and imagination? Could a real visitor, albeit an impostor making a false identity claim, have visited the doctor for some unknown reason of his own, somehow acting as a trigger for the doctor to invent a whole set of weird features? In fact, what seems the LEAST likely explanation is that the whole incident took place in the doctor's imagination. When his wife and children came home, they found him severely shaken, with the house lights blazing, and seated at a table on which lay a gun. They confirmed the marks on the driveway and a series of disturbances to the telepnone that seemed to commence immediately after the visit. So it would seem that some real event occurred, although its nature remains mystifying.
The concrete nature of the phenomenon was accepted by the United States Air Force, who were concerned that persons passing themselves off as USAF personnel should be visiting UFO witnesses. In February 1967, Colonel George P. Freeman, Pentagon spokesman for the USAF's Project Blue Book, told UFO investigator John Keel in the course of an interview: "Mysterious men dressed in Air Force uniforms or bearing impressive credentials from government agencies have been silencing UFO witnesses. We have checked a number of these cases, and these men are not connected with the Air Force in any way. We haven't been able to find out anything about these men. By posing as Air Force officers and government agents, they are committing a federal offence. We would sure like to catch one. Unfortunately the trail is always too cold by the time we hear about these cases. But we are still trying."
But were the impostors referred to by Colonel Freeman, and Dr Hopkin's strange visitor similar in kind? UFO sightings, like sensational crimes, attract a number of mentally unstable persons, who are quie capable of posing as authorised officials in order to gain access to witnesses; and it could be that some supposed MIBs are simply psuedo-investigators of this sort. One particularly curious recurrent feature of MIB reports is the ineptitude of the visitors. Time and again, they are described as incompetent; and if they are impersonating human beings, they certainly do not do it very well, arousing their victims' suspicions by improbable behaviour, by the way they look or talk, and by their ignorance as much as their knowledge. But, of course, it could be that the only ones who are spotted as impostors are those who are no good at their job, and so there may be many more MIB cases that we never learn about simply because the visitors successfully convince their victims that there is nothing to be suspicious about, or that they should keep quiet about the visit.
UNFULFILLED THREATS
A common feature of a great many MIB visits is indeed the instruction to a witness not to say anything about the visit, and to cease all activity concerning the case. (Clearly, we know of these cases only because such instructions have been disobeyed.) One Canadian UFO witness was told by a mysterious visitor in 1976 to stop repeating his story and not to go further into his case, or he would be visited by three men in black. "I said, 'What's that supposed to mean?' 'Well,' he said, ' I could make it hot for you... it might cost you certain injury." A year earlier, Mexican witness Carlos de los Santos had been stopped on his way to a television interview by two large black limousines. One of the occupants - dressed in a black suit and 'Scandanavian' in appearance - told him: "Look, boy, if you value your life and your family's too, don't talk any more about this sighting of yours." However, there is no reliable instance of such threats ever having been carried out, though a good many witnesses have gome ahead and defied their warnings. Indeed, sinister though the MIBs may be, they are notable for their lack of actual violence. The worst that can be said of them is that they frequently harass witnesses with untimely visits and telephone calls, or simply disturb them with their very presence.
While, for the victim, it is just as well that the threats of violence are not followed through, this is for the investigator one more disconcerting aspect of the pnenomenon - for violence, if it resulted in physical action, would at least help in establishing the reality of the phenomenon. Instead, it remains a fact that most of the evidence is purely hearsay in character and often not of the highest quality; cases as well-attested as that of Dr. Herbert Hopkins are unfortunately in the minority. Another problem area is the dismaying lack of precision about many of the reports. Popular American writer Brad Steiger alleged that hundreds of ufologists, contactees and chance percipients of UFOs claim to have been visited by ominous strangers - usually three, and usually dressed in black; but he cites only a few actual instances. Similarly, John Keel, an expert on unexplained phenomena, claimed that, on a number of occasions, he actually saw phantom Cadillacs, complete with rather sinister Oriental-looking passengers in black suits; but for a trained reporter, he showed a curious reluctance to persue these sightings or to give chapter and verse in such an important matter. Such loose assertions are valueless as evidence; all they do is contribute to the myth.
And so we come back once again to the possibility that there is nothing more to the phenomenon than myth. Should we perhaps write off the whole business as delusion, the creation of imaginative folk whose personal obsessions take on this particular shape because it reflects one or other of the prevalent cultural preoccupations of out time? At one end of the scale, we find contactee Woodrow Derenberger insisting that the "two men dressed entirely in black" who tried to silence him were emissaries of the Mafia; while at the other, there is theorist David Tansley, who suggested that they are psychic entities, representatives of the dark forces, seeking to prevent the spread of true knowledge. More matter-of-factly, Dominick Lucchesi claimed that they emanated from some unknown civilisation, possibly underground, in a remote area of Earth - the Amazon, the Gobi Desert or the Himalayas. But there is one feature that is common to virtually all MIB reports, and that perhaps contains the key to the problem. This is the possession, by the MIBs, of information that they should not have been able to come by - information that was restricted, not released to the press, known perhaps to a few investigators and officials but not to the public, and sometimes not even to them. The one person who does possess that knowledge is always the person visited, In other words, the MIBs and their victims share knowledge that perhaps nobody else possesses. Add to this the fact that, in almost every case, the MIBs appear to the witness when he or she is alone - in Dr Hopkin's case, for example, the visitor took care to call when his wife and children were away from home, and established this fact by telephone beforehand - and the implication has to be that some kind of paranormal link connects the MIBs and the persons they visit.
TRUTH - OR PARANOIA?
To this must be added other features of the phenomenon that are not easily reconciled with everday reality. Where are the notorious black cars, for instance, when they are not visiting witnesses? Where are they garaged or serviced? Do they never get involved in breakdowns or accidents? Can it be that they materialise from some other plane of existence when they are needed? These are only a few of the questions raised by the MIB phenomenon. What complicates the matter is that MIB cases lie along a continuous spectrum ranging from the easily believable to the totally incredible. At one extreme are visits during which nothing really bizarre occurs, the only anomalous feature being, perhaps, that the visitor makes a false identity claim, or has unaccountable access to private information. At the other extreme are cases in which the only explanation would seem to be that the witness has succumbed to paranoia. In "The Truth About the Men In Black", UFO investigator Ramona Clark tells of an unnamed investigator who was confronted by three MIBs on 3 July 1969. "On the window of the car in which they were riding was the symbol connected with them and their visitations. This symbol had a profound psychological impact upon this man. I have never encountered such absolute fear in a human being."
The first meeting was followed by continual harassment. There were mysterious telephone calls, and the man's house was searched. He began to hear voices and to see strange shapes. "Black Cadillacs roamed the street in front of his home, and followed him everwhere he went. Once he and his family were almost forced into an accident by an oncoming Cadillac. Nightmares concerning MIBs plagued his sleep. It became impossible for him to rest, his work suffered and he was scared of losing his job." Was it all in his mind? One is tempted to think so. But a friend confirmed that, while they talked, there was a strange-looking man walking back and forth in front of the house. The man was tall, seemed about 55 years old - and was dressed entirely in black.
CASEBOOK
The Odd Couple.
On 24 September 1976 - only a few days after Dr. Herbert Hopkin's terrifying visit from a MIB - his daughter-in-law Maureen received a telephone call from a man who claimed to know her husband John, and who asked if he and a companion could come and visit them. John met the man at a local fast-food restaurant, and brought him home with his companion, a woman. Both appeared to be in their mid-thirties, and wore couriously old-fashioned clothes. The woman looked particularly odd; when she stood up, it seemed that there was something wrong with the way that her legs joined her hips. Both strangers walked with very short steps, leaning forward as though frightened of falling. They sat awkwardly together on a sofa while the man asked a number of detailed personal questions. Did John and Maureen watch television much? What did they read? And what did they talk about? All the while, the man was pawing and fondling his female companion, asking John if this was all right and whether he was doing it correctly. John left the room for a moment, and the man tried to persuade Maureen to sit next to him. He also asked her "how she was made", and whether she had any nude photographs. Shortly afterwards, the woman stood up and announced that she wanted to leave. The man also stood, but made no move to go. He was between the woman and the door, and it seemed that the only way she could get to the door was by walking in a straight line, directly through him. Finally the woman turned to John and asked: "Please move him; I can't move him myself." Then, suddenly, the man left, followed by the woman, both walking in straight lines. They did not even say goodbye.
Excerpts from "Alien Intelligence" by Stuart Holroyd. Everest House, 1979, ISBN 0-89696-040-4.
Since the start of the modern era of reported UFO activity, which is generally considered as dating from the 1947 sighting by American businessman and amateur pilot, Kenneth Arnold, many people who have claimed sightings of UFOs or contact experiences with their occupants have reported subsequent visits from rather sinister gentlemen whose behavior has been distinctly odd. These reports have emanated from different countries and from individuals quite unaware that their experiences were not unique, and they have details in common that add up to a rather convincing case for the reality of the visitors. The men are generally described as dark or olive-skinned, rather oriental-looking, of short stature, and frail build, and are usually dressed in black, sometimes in ill-fitting or out-of-fashion clothes. There are generally two or three of them and they seem to travel in large black cars. Some people who have been visited by 'men in black' have noted the numbers on the cars' license plates, but when poice have checked these they invariably found that they are non-existant as registered license numbers. Other people have reported that the visitors have appeared and vanished with unaccountable abruptness. They have used a variety of ruses to command a hearing, masquerading as government agents, journalists, military or air force personnel, or representatives of insurance companies, for example. Sometimes they simply ask a lot of questions, many of them puzzlingly irrelevant, and then go away, but sometimes they communicate quite unequivocal warnings of dire consequences if a person does not keep quiet about his UFO experience. More than one investigator has been effectively silenced or intimidated by the sinister visitors. UFO cultists who believe that the world's governments are in cahots to suppress information on the subject, have spread the idea that the 'men in black' are CIA agents, but this hypothesis is difficult to maintain in view of the evidence for their world-wide appearances, the uniformity and peculiarity of their looks, and the strangeness of their conduct.
OK, here's a bit of stuff for UFO-L -- on MIB's. From Brad Steiger's disorganized opus "Mysteries of Time & Space" Prenntice-Hall, 1974, ISBN 0-113-609040-0 (some of the book first appeared in "Saga" and "Male" magazine -- that should give you some context of the 'hardness' of this info, but it is grist for the mill). In September, 1953 Albert K. Bender had figured out parts of the origin of flying saucers, and sent his theory off to a "trusted friend". Soon thereafter three men dressed in black appeared, with his letter in hand. They told him 'the real story', and he became ill. Bender, apparently to "save mankind", kept the details to himself and gave up UFO research. Parts of this story were retold in Gray Barker's "They knew too much about flying saucers" (1956) [without the part of 'revealed truth'], and said that several other people (in Australia and New Zealand) had also been visited. Bender decided to tell all in his 1962 "Flying Saucers and the Three Men", which (Steiger says) was disappointing, in that it didn't tell much (that anyone wanted to know, anyway). Alien bases in Antartica (which Bender saw by Astral Projection), and so on. However, others continued to stick to the MIB story, saying that Bender had in fact been silenced. "Bender was a changed man after the MIB visited him. It was as if he had been lobotomized." He suffered headaches that he said were caused by 'them'.
Steiger says that "large numbers" of UFO-ologists have been harassed by *somebody*. A number of them (none named, unfortunately) had had photographs and negatives of UFO's confiscated by people claiming "government affiliation" (curious term, that) - "usually three, usually dressed in black". [BTW, if you ever get a visit from MIB, what they're asking you to do is a violation of search and seizure laws.] In an issue of "Saucer Scoop" (as usual, Steiger doesn't give an issue number) John Keel is quoted as saying that MIB are professional terrorists who go from place to place making sure that too much isn't found out about the UFO phenominon. Keel says that MIB victims appear to be subjected to "some sort of brainwashing technique that leaves him in a state of nausea, mental confusion, or even amnesia lasting for several days". Keel goes on to charge that local police/FBI/etc. must be in on it, because they refuse to investigate MIB.

| UFO-Men in Black Phenomena .. Posted: 5/18/2007 3:26:53 PM | Living it Up, Intresting post I have read some of the info you put out. As weird as it may sound, the area I live was a hot spot in the early mid 80's of sitings of the black car and MIB. One day on my way to work I seen a black cady with lic.plates parked in the customs parking lot (Gov of Canada 666), never really thought much about it. Until a friend of mine seen some strange lights at a local lake with his girl friend, they left as quick as they could. Supposedly he didn't remember dropping his girlfriend off(missing time?). The next day he and another friend went to check the area of the siting out. Just before they were about to leave a black cady with the same #'d plate drove up parked and 2 men in black with dark glasses proceeded to get out their car just as my friend were leaving the area. Not til years later when talking with another friend he had mentioned seeing the same car parked watching the entrance to the lake; yet, really only seeing the car and odd plate of the car, he didn't see the MIB as the glass was mirrored. I have heard some more weird happenings in my area plus Vancouver and in the Seattle area, earliest was in the mid to late 60's I think. Personally, I think that the MIB are not of our government or the US government, not saying they are not in cahoots and know about them though. In your search have you ever heard of a Mrs. Nelson related to the MIB. Won't get into detail as that is one of the weirdest experiances I've been told with which the MIB were involved and a Mrs.Nelson, dressed out of date: but supposedly very beautiful and to perfect looking. After this incident of my other friend, her phone had problems also. The mystery goes on while some laugh it away and others hide away from this fear of a unknown reality. Believe it or not. | |

| UFO-Men in Black Phenomena .. Posted: 5/18/2007 3:33:12 PM | apparently scotland is a ufo hotspot , and there are loads of US army bases up there too. The stealth bomber technology is 50 years old and was designed at area 51 , so by now they can probably create something ufo-like ----- its all us government crap and black projects. ( Zuess ) WTF (storm) | |

| UFO-Men in Black Phenomena .. Posted: 5/18/2007 3:58:38 PM | Sounds like interesting fiction.
Honestly, a few minor quirks would be more believable than some of the more blatant behavioral oddities described. My guess is a combination of delusion, hearsay, and speculation, with a bit of fiction and urban legend thrown in for good measure.
Just seems too farfetched for it to contain any significant degree of reality. There are probably just as many people who believe that they have personally witnessed a miracle, if not more.

| UFO-Men in Black Phenomena .. Posted: 5/18/2007 4:07:21 PM | Well call Me paranoid! maybe it's the pot posting but I dunno? I think they are real definitely involved in the black book projects in one way or another I believe they are a branch of the government or air-force to conceal information from the public. Look at some of the technologies of computers even way back in the 1960's Skunk works were working on super jet engines etc like the" sr-71 Black Bird",We should all be careful and exercise caution who knows may be watching Us in this thread. | |

| UFO-Men in Black Phenomena .. Posted: 5/18/2007 5:28:51 PM | I have to say something. In 1992 I was having a superbowl party at my friends place and we always liked to chat about this sort of stuff, anything mysterious and so forth. My friends friend at the time, told us (and he lives in the same town that I live, about 8-10 minute drive from my current house) he told us how he had an experiance (I swear I'll never foget what he said and it gave me goose bumps) he told us that in the middle of the night one time he was upstairs sleeping and while he was sleeping he felt something/one very softly touch one of his feet, he opened his eyes and no one was there. So he got up (everyone else was sleeping in his house) and went to look maybe something was going on downstairs in his house, and he went to see from the top of the stairs on what was going on. He was upstairs looking downstair at his front door entrance way, and what he saw was (according to him) he saw two or three tall men wearing black, it was a long black tux or a trench coat or something like that, but it was completey black, but he said that he couldn't see a head on them, thats what I remember him saying, I can't remember if he meant they were headless or weather they were completely bald without hair and no eyelashes and no eyebrowns so appearing featureless in other words, and they were very tall also. But he didn't recognize any feature on their heads, maybe thats what he meant by headless, i don't know. Then after that he ran back to his room and I can't rememeber the rest. Then I heard from my friend who was this guys friend, he told me that this guy told him that those men in black made a threat to him or something and ever since then he never wanted that incident to be known to anyone , he didn't want to tell anyone because he felt him and his family could be in danger. Because I remember this came after they saw some strange lights in the sky, so this incident happened after they saw those lights.
But even though it did sound freaky, I eventually ignored it, UNTIL in early 1993, on the program "sightings" They talked about this Men in Black phenomena, and on top of that they also said that one of the incidents happened just outside of Toronto, and they mentioned my town, that got me surprised and I didn't know what to think, but I was thinking that this guy was telling us the truth , because "sightings" also knew about it, I don't know maybe he reported it to "sightings", but either way it was on there.
So I really don't know what to beleive about this. I mean We live in a town of back then it was about 99,000 people, and this guy just saw something in the sky and then he said that some men came to him and made some threats for him not to tell anyone or else.... , and then I hear and see on "sightings" that there was a Men In Black incident in our city here and I just couldn't beleive it and that really was scary.
We think these things only happen in the States , but when you here from more then one source that it occured in your own town, that really makes you take that seriously.

| UFO-Men in Black Phenomena .. Posted: 5/18/2007 7:36:22 PM | ok now THIS is a cool topic...too incredible for most of course.
There is little to be found written on the subject of MIB's per say...in fact, unless I'm mistaken, there may be just one book on the subject and it hails from a european author which put together a nice summary of the phenomenon. I have it and can get the name if anyone cares.
This phenomenon usually does relate to UFO sightings Living-it-up, and it usually is quite supernatural in its occurances. Do I believe it? Absolutely. And I have heard first-hand eyewitness testimonies to boot. Two accounts came from older witnesses which pre-dated the sightings to the 60's and seventies perhaps. One woman disclosed a tale of sitting with her husband in a quiet neighborhood and seeing what looked like a car flying low and passing them at about tree level. Another observed a car coming to a road that had a bridge out and was shocked as she observed the vehicle 'fly' over to the other side.
Another woman confessed to me of having a UFO sighting and later that evening a strange car stopped at her house and a small, strange figure knocked on her door. The figure was wearing a fidora. She remembers the strange visitor questioned her in referance to the UFO sighting she had had earlier. It was a classic MIB experience and I sincerely believe she had no clue as to what MIB's were.
To me, the fact remains that we exist surrounded by an incredible universe with many strange and credible phenomenon which seem to cross paths every once and awhile.
In my opinion, it is only a matter of time before we all cross paths with the unknown and then you too will be put to the test of what to do about it.

| UFO-Men in Black Phenomena .. Posted: 5/18/2007 7:43:47 PM | ^^^ But I think the Men in Black case is unique because unlike other supposed "aliens" or "alien encounters", the Men in Black encounters ussually have bad and terrifying experiances that come with them, they supposedly are not nice guys at all.... they make death threats to anyone who has seen a UFO sighting to not ever tell anyone or they would come and .....whatever.
Honestly I am suprised that more is written about them.
Given your religious convictions, I wonder you don't think its demons.
I don't know, I just don't know.

| UFO-Men in Black Phenomena .. Posted: 5/18/2007 7:56:11 PM | | ^^^^^^^ the fact that they ARE quite sinister and evil in their approach tells you somewhat of a clue as to their true origins. The same can be said of most UFO abduction encounters that leave its victim's lives in somewhat shambles. | |
|
| UFO-Men in Black Phenomena .. Posted: 5/18/2007 7:59:07 PM | ^^ But also, they are noted, as that article I have up in post 1 says, they are noted for not being violent despite the many threats they make.
But I don't know if by "origin" you mean aliens, mere humans or something worse on the spiritual side ?
On the show "sightings" that I watched back in 1993, they have one of the witnesses or victums of the Men in Black experiance draw a sketch of how she remembers them looking when they were at her house, and this was by the way in my town that this apparently happened in the early 90's or late 80's, and the picture she drew of the MIB guys face looked non human almost like a reptiles face, I mean I had nightmares about that for months after I say that.
Here is another informative site about this phenomena http://www.zerotime.com/ufo/mib.htm

| UFO-Men in Black Phenomena .. Posted: 5/18/2007 10:01:41 PM | The MIB mythology is pretty interesting stuff. Personally I find even the image of the "grey aliens" to be terrifying on a very primal level....akin to the fear that someone feels when they see a spider or other phobia inducing creature.
That alone to me is enough proof that there is some kind of genetic memory of these creatures.
For the MIB's though, I am of the strong opinion that IF they are real then its just a branch of the government working to supress UFO information. Please note that this does NOT make them any less scarey.

| UFO-Men in Black Phenomena .. Posted: 5/18/2007 10:02:04 PM | Just some more information about these guys.
It is interesting to note some of the peculiarities that these guys supposedy have.
introduction: Encounters with Men in Black, (MIB) revolve completely around UFO and alien sightings. Thousand of everyday people worldwide have had experiences with MIB's after witnessing UFO related events since the beginning of history. There have been possible occurrences of MIB's going back in history to Abraham in the Bible. Many Catholic saints wrote of experiences involving strange visitors after seeing angels in the sky. The men in black that are most common to us began visiting people in 1947. This is also around the same time that the UFO explosion began in America. The mysterious men in black have not change their appearance or intentions since the 1950's. Description: Dressed always in black suits, black shoes, black string ties, and white shirts. A black hat or a black turtleneck is sometimes worn. Some also carry a black brief case which they never put down. Thin Blond hair or completely bald. Age estimated somewhere between 40 and 55+ years old. Pale skin color. High cheekbones. Cut facial features. Height reports vary between 6 foot and 6'9". Weight; thin, weak build, 140 to 160 pounds. MIB's usually travel in groups of three. However, groups of four, two and one have been reported. They have passed as repairmen, door-to-door sales people and representatives of the U.S. Air Force. (The Air Force denies involvement in any of the MIB cases) MIB's Transportation: Men in black drive large, expensive black cars. The cars sometimes have unusual logos on the doors or windshield. Every license plate recorded has been untraceable. The men in black have been seen driving at night with headlights turned off and strange glowing lights inside the car. In some rare cases the men in black have also used black helicopters. Late Night Phone Calls: Bizarre phone calls before MIB visitations are common. Strange dull voices claiming to be from (non-existing) UFO organizations asking questions about what the witness saw. Most of the time the questions are followed by a warning not to talk to anyone about what they witnessed. Abnormal noises can be heard in the background of the caller. The noises vary in tone when certain subjects or words are mentioned, like "UFO". Contact: The men in black are sometimes called the "Silencers". Their objectives seem to be:
Find out how much the witness knows or has seen. Confiscate any and all physical evidence that might have been left behind. Warn witnesses directly not to talk to anyone and not to speak about their meeting. In some cases the witness is threatened with harm against them or their family. MIB Presence: There are reported side effects that take place during a MIB encounter. Witnesses have reported feeling uncontrollable fear and being dizzy and nauseous. In some cases witnesses account that being in the presence of a MIB is like being near pure evil. These effects seem to aid the silencing process. Defense against MIB's: When confronted by MIB's try to stay under control. When they ask questions answer them and then ask your own questions. Ask about them, or how to contact them later. Always smile and laugh. Act like their presence has no effect on you. Of course that sounds easy, but no one has ever been able to do it.
Note this statement as it relates to the side effects that people experiance.
ide effects that take place during a MIB encounter. Witnesses have reported feeling uncontrollable fear and being dizzy and nauseous. In some cases witnesses account that being in the presence of a MIB is like being near pure evil.
How do you think that happens when this encounter happens? What can be a scientific explanation for these side effects.?

| UFO-Men in Black Phenomena .. Posted: 5/19/2007 1:54:20 AM | check out " disclosure project ". Its been put together by a guy called dr. stephen greer , and basically he's collated a huge amount of material , testimonials , sworn affidavits , etc..... from extremely high-ranking government officials , people working on covert ops with top end security clearances. we're not talking joe schmo here , we're talking about guys who control nuclear weapons installations security , pentagon staff , even the deputy prime minister of canada.
It sounds far-fetched , but these points are made.
1. There are extra-terrestrials visiting us , and they are peaceful 2. billions of dollars are being siphoned into US black projects , which even Jimmy Carter was told he didnt have the clearance to look at 3. The US government , controlled by highly secretive organizations with their own hidden agenda , will attempt in the near future to present a " false flag " scenario , in an attempt to make the extra-terrestrials look malevolent towards us , in much the same way that 9/11 got public support for T.W.A.T ( the war against terror ) , thus giving support for the weaponization of space. 4. almost all N.A.S.A. photographs are doctored , and apparently , there is an extra-terrestrial base on the dark side of the moon , which has non-naturally made structures , some of which are a mile high , spheres , rectangles etc.......
I'm not a crackpot , but its obvious to even a casual bystander that there is definitely something going on , but wading through the disinformation and dis-disinformation to find the truth , isnt an easy task

| UFO-Men in Black Phenomena .. Posted: 5/19/2007 1:56:21 PM | He is more information about this phenomena
The Men In Black - or MIB's as they are sometimes called are a group that supposedly show up to harass or intimidate witnesses of UFO sightings and related phenomena the government does not want the public to know about.
They usually make vague or sometimes specific threats to stop witnesses from talking or sharing information. They confiscate any physical proof of UFO related sightings -- such as photos, artefacts, or audio / video recordings.
They wear their trademark black suit and perhaps a black overcoat. The fabric of their clothing has been described as strangely "shiny" or thin, but not silky - almost as if they have been cut from a new type of fabric.
Some report that MIB all look alike. This brings to mind the villain in the movie Matrix and reality nothing more that projected illusion created by consciousness.
Their often mechanical behavior has caused them to be described by some as being like robots or androids.
Their voices are monotone and their faces emotionless. They speak in a dull monotone voice, like a computer, and are dark-complected with high cheekbones, thin lips, pointed chin, and eyes that are mildly slanted.
Notice the conflicting report here, elsewhere they were decribed as having pale white skinn and now they are dark complexion.
They allegedly travel in groups of three, but are sometimes alone.
The are usually seen driving black mint-condition late model luxury cars such as Cadillacs or Lincolns. Their cars often operate with the headlights off, but ghostly purple or greenish glows illuminate the interior. Unusual insignia have been seen emblazoned on the doors and the license plates are always unidentifiable or untraceable.
Many have reported seeing these vehicles after a reported UFO sighting, ET abduction, or crop circle finding.
Some people believe the MIB are government agents. Some people believe that are extraterrestrials.
There have been reports of MIBs following people around in black helicopters.
The first reported occurrence of Men in Black was allegedly Albert K. Bender, the editor of a flying saucer publication called the Space Review.
In the October 1953 issue he placed an announcement stating that he had come across information that would solve the flying saucer mystery but could not print it because he was ordered not to. He ended the announcement warning others in UFO research to be very cautious.
He then stopped publication. Later in an interview Bender stated that three men wearing dark suits had ordered him to stop publishing UFO material, and that he had complied with the order because he had been "scared to death" of them. He later published a book called Flying Saucers and the Three Men in Black.
In his book, The UFO Silencers, Timothy Beckley has attempted to provide an overview of important and representative MIB encounters. According to Beckley, MIB have been with us for many hundreds of years, speculating that such diverse characters from the history of witchcraft and folklore as the Elizabethan Black Men, the Native American Black Man and late nineteenth century reports of malevolent traveling salesmen, might have been manifestations of what we now know as Men in Black.
According to John Keel, the MIB often state that they are representatives of the Nation of the Third Eye.
George Hunt Williamson (an early MIB contactee) in his book Other Tongues, Other Flesh, states that secret societies allied with Sirius use the Eye of Horus as an insignia. This symbol has also been seen on the MIB. The secret societies believe that there is a Great White Lodge on earth. They call it Shamballa -- and consider it to be the spiritual center of the world. Theosophists such as Alice Bailey say that the Great White Lodge is on Sirius.
This is confirmed by Stephen Jenkins, author of the book The Undiscovered Country, who was told by Buddhist priests that Shamballa was located in the constellation of Orion. If the All-Seeing-Eye is a symbol of Sirius' earth-allies and the MIB wear that symbol, and if Shambhala represents the Great White Lodge on Earth - then the MIB are emissaries of Shamballa. The entrance to Shambhala on Earth is usually placed in the trans-Himalayan region. Some assert it is in the heart of the Gobi Desert (where there have been allegations of crashed disks and bases).
According to the explorer Nicholas Roerich, there are caves in the Himalayan foothills that have subterranean passages. In one of the these passages, there is a stone door that has never been opened, because the time for its opening has not yet arrived

Why am I NOT convinced your interest in these things are genuine? Are you trying to give a persona of an individual with knowledge of these supernatural events? (btw I should congratulate you on you copy/paste ability). Do you realize your contemporaries would deem them otherworldly significant of demonic proportions?
Or is there another reason?

As I pointed out earlier probably of alien ancestry there have been many eyewitness accounts of this phenomenon maybe I need a pair of shades I dunno? This thread is giving me goose bumps.

It depends what you mean by "interest". They have caught my mind years ago and I really wonder about these men in black, their origins, their nature, who they are or what they are and what are they up to and if it's all a hoax, why are they doing that in the first place, why is the government ( any government) not getting involved in this, because for them( the MIB)to be walking around claiming to be members of FBI or some goverment organization and pretending they are something they may very well not be, my understanding is that thats a federal offense.
That being said, I don't have a great interest in terms of a fanclub like interest or something like that. But they do happen to be a unique case, and the fact that they may have been around alot longer then we origninally thought they were, makes this that much more interesting and yet in some sense worrisome.
What do you think about them ,sky? have you heard about them in the UK? i know there have been sightings of them in different areas in the world.

haha! shhhhh! I AM a man in black, but only in my lunch hour lol!

yes... it's very naughty of them, I must agree.

My apologies, I thought you were taking the piss.

I'm still a bit concerned that you should be motivated enough to want to discuss MIB's.
Yes, The UK is very aware of them. But I've yet to read of a specific case involving MIB's here. If you are really interested, Google The Disclosure Project, listen very closely and digest it. They don't, from what I can remember, talk about the MIB's, but what you will get is the truth about UFO's. It's something I've been drumming up on here since I arrived. This goes for all you other guys on here.
Something BIG is about to happen (just don’t ask me when… the world’s had enough of doomsday prophesies you know).

| UFO-Men in Black Phenomena .. Posted: 5/19/2007 11:07:36 PM | Brilliant examples of the lack of intelligence in the human species Thanks...I'd been suspecting it all week Now I'm convinced :(
People cant seriously be THAT stupid! Does anyone take these examples seriously?
Someone with no hair and no eyebrows and no pigmentation and lipstick that smears on his glove, arrives and spends quite some time with someone who is 'supposedly' an educated and articulate man....but nothing about that strikes him as odd until LATER?
Hello? Now wouldnt it strike YOU as odd AT THE TIME?
Dont you just love fabricated hoaxes?

Not sure what you are concerned about. Does this issue ring home to you or have you had some encounter with these guys before.?
It's something I've been drumming up on here since I arrived. This goes for all you other guys on here.
I know this can be a touchy subject for people who HAVE experianced them.I havn't and hope not too and from what I heard I hope no one has to experiance them.
