Also, our sex life is friggin awesome. Or usually is. My friend Cassandra N. is also a tomboy and she's in love with a basketball player named Jake. She's known him for a long time and they have known each other since high school. Jake is dating a model named Cynthia and Cassandra feels left out. The girl's in despair. Sometimes, I wonder if us tomboys will ever luck out in the man department. Guys like us as friends but would rather date girly chicks and basically ignore us.

Since I cut my hair I've been taken off 3 favorites lists too..
It makes me look even more tomboyish I suppose. It's hard to learn how to be dainty when you were raised by a single father. | |

Posted: 5/1/2005 5:52:17 PM | | i don't know if guys would rather ignore us tomboys or not....we are pretty cool people if you ask me...you don't have to bait my fishing rod..you don't have to pitch my tent for me you don't have to change the oil in my truck thankyou very much and you don't have to worry about me ripping my silk stockings cuz i have none..heh.....we are very adaptable to any situation i think...we can be social butterflies and we clean up real nice...but when we want to just hang out in our jeans and t shirts..we are cool as well.. i think tomboys make the best girlfriends......just my opinion....lol | |

That's because "girl-friend" has "girl" embedded in it. Tomboys are seen as "one of the guys", and most men wouldn't date one of the guys.
Also depends on what you call tomboy. If you like to repair cars and walk with grease-stained overalls, chew tobacco and burp, somehow I think you will be out of luck in the datin game (just kidding) :)

You don't need to be girly to be feminine. Like you don't need expensive clothes to have class. If you're girly but not feminine, with expensive clothes but no class, then you're just a dumb bimbo.
Now LaurenB, forgive me for getting personal, but from the little I see, and read, I have no doubt that you are yourself the living proof that a classy woman is attractive whichever style she chooses for herself. And I like yours btw. | |

I once wanted to date a tomboy,she really was the greatest friend ever,and she made me feel alive! Then she confronted me with this line; "You're interested in me ain't ya???"
I said yes,then she asked :"what would you say if I told you I was gay???"
It took a lot of courage for her to open up to me that way,and the only answer I could come up with is:
"That figures,bad enough I have to compete with men to find a woman,now I have to compete with women to find a woman!"
I was never aware at the time how many people were gay,and people from here don't accept it much.
Anyways,me and her are still great friends and I respect her choice to be with women!
