Posted: 6/13/2007 1:03:55 AM | Okay so I'm not a frequent visitor of this website. I signed up over a year ago, looked around for a couple of days, talked to a couple of people, and then decided it'd wasn't going to be worth the work. So randomly for no real reason except for boredom a few months ago I decided to come on late one night. I met a girl on here and talked to her for awhile, and she seemed pretty cool even though she just got out of a 2 year relationship that ended badly. So we decided to go ahead and call each other on the phone that night. We ended up talking all night and I didn't even go to sleep before work in the morning. That day at work I found myself thinking about her a lot. So about two weeks went by and we talked a lot, met a few times (turned out her best friend lives right across the street from me) got drunk and had fun and finally I asked her out and we started dating.
The very next day after we started dating I got kicked out of the place I was staying. The day after that I got arrested ($40 hot check...) and spent two weeks in jail, had no way to contact her and tell her what had happened...she was just kinda left in the dark. When I finally got out of jail I had no place to go, no money, no job, no car (got impounded), and everything I owned was sitting in a motel room...considering all that she was the first person I called and I was just estatic to be talking to her. She helped me get ahold of my family and get all my stuff back together.
We're still together now, 2 months later..and plan on staying together for a long time. I doubted this website or any website like it would work, but I guess I got proved wrong despite all of the odds...I really think this was meant to be and she and I are both very happy. Thanks a lot! | |

Your lady obviously saw the special side to you despite the temporary setbacks. I'm so glad I didn't run. I'm more in love than ever.

Posted: 6/14/2007 10:08:14 AM | Every now and then people go through ruts in life, I'm just out of the military...it's not a matter of me getting my life together or not, thats not an issue. The point of me saying all that stuff wasn't to be ridiculed or belittled, but to show that through all this stuff she stuck it out with me.
She knows what I've done and what I'm capable of doing with myself, thats why she puts trust with me.
If you're incapable of being open-minded about situations and understanding that sometimes, put frankly, shit happens then you have a lot to learn. | |

Posted: 6/14/2007 2:05:37 PM | The bad check was from a few years ago. At the time I was dating a girl who had a 1 year old son, and her mom was a bad dope head. Her mom spent all their money on drugs so couldn't buy them groceries. I had already spent my paycheck paying all of my own bills, so I wrote a $40 hot check to buy them groceries...not with that girl now, but if I could do it all over again I would. Thats why I went to jail.
As far as being kicked out, I was staying with my brother and his wife. His wife and I weren't exactly the best of friends and had a small dispute and wanted me to leave, so I did. The next day I went and got a motel room. I was working day labor at the time getting paid daily, just enough to pay the motel room and still have $1 left a day for food...Can anyone say McDonalds burger? mmm...
She watched me go through all of this and saw that no matter what happened I stayed positive and didn't worry. I've been rock bottom, without a place to live, hungry, with nothing except the clothes on my back and I was still positive. I'm guessing thats what made her stick around.

But it seems no one trusts anyone these days. The majority of responses here seem to attack the fact that two people actually found something right and suited to the individual couple. Why rag on it so hard? I am sorry for those of you who find it necessary to TRY and get between a happy couple you don't know a thing about. Stay positive for yourselves as well as other people. What would the world be like if no one tried to drag everyone else down with their own personal problems? I see ya'll are having trouble finding what you want, but we did and if it bothers you to hear a GOOD testimonial stop reading them. We are happy and he wanted to express it to people. I love my sweet man. Wish us well, or don't say anything. Thanks to those of you who actually have well wishes in spite of what others say. Posted: 6/14/2007 5:41:34 PM | hey now ~ I wasn't bruising on the love, just wondering what Robot Chicken had to do w/ anything. hey, if you can find someone @ 21 that loves you and will be "the One" forever, more power to you. most of us are skeptical b/c we've been 21 and in love w/ "the One"...and I'll wager that not many are still together. sure it happens ~ be one of the positive statistics
in all honesty, I did have my One at your age, and it's one of my greatest regrets that I wasn't strong enough to be his One...

Me personally? I don't stop looking until the guy gets serious by changing his profile to "not single/not looking". It only takes a minute and shows your true intention more clearly, not to mention respect for yourself and the person that you want to be with.

She sent me a rose one day and I didn't even get it till 4-5 days later when she told me she sent me a message on her. I got a wild hair up my ass and did the same thing and she didn't get it till like a week later when I told her to check.
