| Quick/easy salad dressings Posted: 6/17/2007 6:52:47 PM | What are some salad dressings you like to swirl together at the last minute? Beyond basic vinnaigrette or good seasons packets...
I am liking 1 tablespoon Roasted Hazelnut oil with 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar. Sounded too simple because I like a lot of flavor, but I tried it and it's awesome. The real recipe is 2 tablespoons of the oil with 1 tbsp vinegar, but I like more acidic and less oil.

| Quick/easy salad dressings Posted: 6/17/2007 9:40:25 PM | I make my own. I rarely buy anything.
I vary to mood. Olive oil. Always with dijon. I have a handful of different vinegars on hand. I like to be able to have the tart with the bit of sweet. Some sweetners I use a touch of are maple syrup - that one most often. Sometimes brown sugar, regular sugar. I like to add marionberries now and then...yummy little berries. Other times, it's garlic and a check to see what fresh herbs I have on hand.

| Quick/easy salad dressings Posted: 6/18/2007 5:53:27 AM | Olive oil, 1 tsp. honey dijon mustard, 1-2 tsp. raspberry preserves, pinch of red pepper flakes, salt/pepper......yum! | |

| Quick/easy salad dressings Posted: 6/18/2007 9:50:48 PM | | Just olive oil and balsamic vinegar with some fresh basil. Also a tossed salad with fresh lemon juice and a little olive oil. Nothing too heavy to hide the flavor of the salad... I like throwing in raisins and sunflower seeds too. Or walnuts and cranberries. | |

| Quick/easy salad dressings Posted: 6/20/2007 4:50:38 PM | | Olive oil, red wine vinegar, feta cheese, salt and pepper, and a bit of fresh oregano. | |

| Quick/easy salad dressings Posted: 6/30/2007 1:24:40 AM | Wish I could copy Trader Joes Olive Oil & Red wine vingerette. Its the only dressing I use! Great for dipping cold veggies in-might even make a good marinate for chicken.
Olive oil, red wine vinger, spices and salt to taste. I'd drink it out of the bottle if I could.
Anyway, how about fresh vingerettes dressings? What spices do you use in them?

| Quick/easy salad dressings Posted: 6/30/2007 12:20:32 PM | This one is REALLY high in the omega 3's: Combine equal parts, or ~ 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar 1 tablespoon maple syrup 1 tablespoon flax seed oil
add some nice fresh garlic, pepper, and you're good to go! Needs to be kept in the fridge though, because the flax seed oil will go rancid if left out.

| Quick/easy salad dressings Posted: 7/2/2007 8:27:45 AM | | Balsamic vinegar, olive oil and fresh oregano/basil with salt and pepper. Sometimes to kick up a vinagrette I'll add in some alderwood smoked salt. Very tasty that one is. I also like doing a dressing with soy, ginger, garlic, cider vinegar and a dash of sesame oil. The sesame oil is the key. YUM! | |

| Quick/easy salad dressings Posted: 10/8/2007 8:03:38 PM | | all of it...and the white vinager is better..it's all to taste, but about half water and vinager..maybe a little more vinager..a little sugar and the fresh dill is very important..maybe a touch of salt...when served I always like the fresh cracked pepper on the top...I usually make a pretty big bowl and just end up stealing little bits for three days until it's all gone | |
