What are you doing on Canada day?

July 1st is a great holiday.... the weather is supposed to be great! Any POFFERS have ideas on what to do? It is a HUGE thing in the States (not Canada Day, lol, but their July 4th)

Are you spending time with your family?

Want to do a POF picnic in the park?
No, big thing, just another day
family time
let's get together as POFFERS

there r tons of things to do for Canada Day just check ur local papers and the main ones too.
I know of an event in Abby, Cloverdale and N. Van.
I know of a fellow fishie that is doing the sound etc. for the event in N. Van and has been working hard @ getting this special event set up.
It's also their 100 th anniversary as well in N. Van.
Good thing he doesn't read the posts as i am talking about him ahahah!

My kids and I are heading to Seattle to watch the Blue Jays play. What better way to spend Canada's birthday then heading to the United States.

Go Jays!!

Will most likely catch the fireworks here in Abbotsford or might head to Cloverdale after we get back from the ball game.

Happy Birthday Canada

I'm thinking the celebration in Cloverdale might be good fun. After all, with Kim Mitchell and April Wine playing, who could resist the nostalgia?

Not sure, either Cloverdale or the island. Have an urge to go home and see the fireworks over there.

I'm surprised there isn't a POF event planned for Canada Day. I was thinking of checking out the Cloverdale event, mostly because they had a pretty good line up of music. If there is a school of fishies planning something I might be in for that depending on where it is.

My sister and her partner have never been to Cloverdale and suggested staying away from Granville Island so we will be hanging out there tomorrow.

See you there!

friend and I may check out Rotary, when do fireworks start there? Anything else happening before that? Free concerts in park?

How about Cloverdale? What is happening there?

Take Care..

I am going to sleep until noon. And then take my hounds out for a walk and maybe reflect on why I am so glad that I am Canadian and live in this beautiful country. While it is less than perfect, it good be much worse. Think of Afghanistan.

Since Canada day is the anniversary of my dads death (3yrs) I will spend quiet time with my family and enjoy my precious little ones.
Then at 7pm we will release 53 red balloons just to say we miss him and love him very much.
Hopefully this year is easier than last.
