HOW TO FIND US...
7:30 P.M. FRIDAY - meet at the chapel steps
10:45 AM SATURDAY - meet in the beer garden - look for a regular balloon.
6:00'ish PM SATURDAY - Communal supper potluck - my trailer, location TBA (look for fish balloon or failing that, a sponge bob pinata.)
9:00 PM SATURDAY - Beer garden. Hopefully will have a balloon still (or again.)
10:30 AM SUNDAY - chapel steps (if there is a sunday service at that time then I'll be inside - beautiful service, regardless if you are religious or not)
Will leave a POF binder at the trailer for late arrivals to sign in to let me know they are around somewhere! May leave further contact information there as well.

Great music! Family oriented, limited camping on-site (booze free camping but beer garden at event- camping is $25.00 for the weekend first come, first served, campground open Friday morning) Tickets are also available at the gate. Scroll down for prices for single day admission. Music all weekend! I've been two years running and I wouldn't miss it!

I've sent them an email requesting info on daily admission prices. You could pay for just one day last year- I think they had different rates for the Friday night and Sunday than the longer Saturday rate but I'm certain they had them. I will post the price when they get back to me.

Child: $12 & under free
Senior: $80 weekend pass
Student: $70 (13-18) weekend
At the Door: $Friday $40, Sat. $60

"Day passes are available at the gate only.
Friday $40, Saturday $60, Sunday $40.

I've also emailed re: volunteer positions - you put in a few shifts over the weekend and then you get free admission over the weekend. I expect they are fully staffed but you never know! I'm also looking into a group discount so...if you are thinking of going, sign up ASAP so I can give her numbers - don't forget if your plans change, you can always hit the remove me button! | |

I'm not part of the IFF but my father is (He runs folkfest.bc.ca) & other aspects of the IFF.
I just moved back here from Toronto (8 yrs out there - BLAGH) a week ago. & I'm really looking forward to meeting new people here through the IFF this weekend :)
My father (Rudi) signed me up as a volunteer, you'll probably see me around taking pictures or at the office. I know theres a bunch of security (40-50 people) but I might also help out there as well.

We have an official photographer, a "by" with on-site security in case we get too rowdy (at the FOLK fest - ) and I do believe someone who will be working the beer garden. POF rocks! Not to mention if someone gets lost - we know who the head honcho is! It's all about networking, boys and girls!
So - I've finally been able to arrange my schedule to get up there earlier on Friday to set up my trailer - was a little iffy for a while - but I might have to come back to Victoria for 4:30 and not return up there until 6 p.m. or so.
Please message me or post when you might get there so I can figure out a good time for us to meet. I'm thinking now of meeting on the chapel steps Friday night at 7 p.m. or 7:30 p.m. so we don't miss out on the music while we wait for people to show up. Then I can tell you where I was able to set up the trailer etc. and we can take it from there.
