A Change of Name does not change your Member Number .... #1308644
You are the 1,308,644th Plentyoffish Member.
But if you were to delete your Profile, and then create another one using the same Name, a new Member Number would be assigned to your new Account.
if I were to change my name, what would happen to my contacts Everything will stay the same, but you can no longer be found in a User Search under the previous Name.
Searching for you via the Basic or Advanced Searches will have no Bearing on any Name Changes, as these are qualified by your Profile, Registration and Mail Settings.
Your Profile Information, Mail Settings, your Favourites would be updated, Update Notes and those on your Who Loves Me List, People you have E-Mail Blocked will be unaffected.
If you were restricted by other People's Mail Settings or E-Mail Blocked, these would also remain in effect as they are based on your Member Number. Name Changes cannot circumvent these.
You will remain as before on anyone's Viewed Me and My Matches, and your First Contact History left fully intact.
If you have worked your Way up the 500 Hottest People List, there will be no change in Status and your Testimomials will also stay as they are.
All E-Mails others have received from you can simply be Reply'd to and you will get them as usual, the recent Change of Name only reflected on E-Mails you "send" or "reply" back to.
However, any new E-Mail sent to you by others must be correctly addressed to your new User Name.
 | As "Sasquatch2" mentioned above, the Names on your Previous Forum Posts will reflect the Name Change, but not on any Threads you had previously created. |
