| "Flavoured" Drugs? Posted: 7/12/2007 2:12:11 PM | I was chatting with a friend who works with those addicted to drugs and require psyche treatment today. She asked me if I had heard of the new drug out, similar to meth, that is now flavoured to appeal to the younger kids. I had to confess that I never heard about it. Apparently they now come in flavours such as orange, cola, root beer and such and look similar to Poprocks.
There have been a number of deaths from the use of this new drug, including one child as young as 4 years old, who obviously didn't know what she was taking and thought it was candy.
Anyone else hear of this or know any more about it?

| Flavoured Drugs? Posted: 7/12/2007 4:22:28 PM | Yes, I watched a presentation called "dope on dope" and he talked about that.
He also talked about "WET" which are cigarettes dipped into formaldehyde, dried and then smoked to get high... craziness I tell ya!

| Flavoured Drugs? Posted: 7/12/2007 4:51:26 PM | And now, courtesy of the net and my spare time, more than you ever wanted to know...
A cigarette dipped in formaldehyde, other common slang: "sherm", "drank", "water-water"...further treating it with PCP would give you a "wet-daddy"
"fry", "French-fries", "amp", seem to refer to marijuana joints given this treatment..."fry sweets" cigars/blunts done the same way...probably swisher sweets or something similar. more crazy terms..."milk", "crazy eddie", "purple rain", "ill", "illy", "clickem", and finally "wack"
To "get wet" is a common slang term for smoking PCP...
"Bad Pizza" that's an ancient one for PCP
Good reasons for not accepting a cigarette from someone you don't know and trust...and if it tastes odd...ahem...
A site to avoid getting "slipped a micky" http://www.roofie.com/embalming_fluid.htm http://www.dshs.state.tx.us/idcu/health/dpn/issues/dpn58n13.pdf
Remember... *as I vanish in a cloud of Dave Chappelle's smoke*
"White people love Wayne Brady, because he makes Bryant Gumbel look like Malcolm X" (obscure PCP reference)

| Flavoured Drugs? Posted: 7/14/2007 11:48:56 PM | I have not heard of the pop rock-like flavored drugs either. WTF is going on with these people targeting kids!! I will keep my ears open though.
Outdoor2--I enjoy your posts. I have been surfing the forums and like what you have to say.

| Flavoured Drugs? Posted: 7/21/2007 5:23:21 PM | Cigarettes already have formaldehyde, mixed into their tobacco thanks to the tobacco companies. So I guess an extra dip of embalming fluid won't make any real difference, in the short run.
Tobacco companies were targeting young teens 50 years ago with ads and send away prizes and gifts. Joe Camel is a great example of getting kids 'interested and then hooked'. He was one of my fav cartoon characters when I was in my teens...
(I no longer smoke cigarettes.)

| Flavoured Drugs? Posted: 1/27/2008 1:10:14 PM | I've heard of it, saw another thread a while back relating to something similar (including excerpts & references to news releases from police departments in various parts of North America), and know of at least two people who fell victim to it with chocolate fudge laced with crack.
Not something a chocolate lover such as myself wants to hear, but heard it anyway and visited one person in hospital over it. Was also put in cookies apparently.

WTF is going on with these people targeting kids!! These/those are one in the same....only difference being one of them is allowed to do it under the guise of a legal enterprise.
