Posted: 7/13/2007 8:04:03 AM | Can somebody, anybody please tell me how to shorten the space on my proifle, between the end of the song lyrics in the 'about me section'. There appears to be a huge gap, and I don't know how to fix it! | |

go to the bit where the space is and press back space button on keyboard
if it will not do it..... delete the last fews words and re write them ....  | |

That's what's causing the the space. each of those is prolly a hard return, or CRLF. Go just to the left of the smilie, and start hitting backspace, or select and delete. You've got to clear out those breaks. | |

while still holding the left mouse button down, scroll down to the bottom of the page, then release.
that one sentence and all the blank space should now be highlighted. RIGHT click. select cut.
it should all disappear. then, just type the sentence back in. hit "update profile". done! | |

Posted: 7/13/2007 10:48:27 AM | | I don't know what you're doing wrong, then. I just added a bunch of carraige returns to my profile, looked at it, and then came back and deleted them no problem. Go to the end of the "white space" (which is what we geeks call empty space that is formatted to hold text) at the very bottom of the text box that you enter your profile information into. Put the cursor there and press backspace until you get back up to your main text. | |

Copy all Data in the About Me Form Field into Windows 'Notepad' (... not another Text Editor ), but do not copy the 'Blank' Space underneath it.
Right-click in the Form Field, click to: < Select All > , to highlight the Text.
Then hit the < Delete > Key.
Select all the Text you had copied over to 'Notepad', < Copy > the Text, and paste it into the About Me Form Field.
 | Save the Changes. This fixes any illegal formatting that somehow managed to work its way into the Form Fields. |
