this has only recently started..............when I press SEND, my system seems to Freeze............am cleaning out cookies and everything thru Tools, Internet Options, Delete ALL, including whatever temporary folders...............
Any Suggestions..............??    | |

See that there does seem to be issues with this, but I DID search to make sure the Same question was not being asked...........
I didn't think of a Software problem with PoF..........
Is PoF having Problems??????????????

Posted: 7/13/2007 9:29:18 PM | Depending on the speed of your connection, it may just be lagging as it sends. Also note running a speedtest on your machine might be a good idea to rule out overall speed issues.
Barring speed issues, if you have ruled out overall slowdown on the machine caused by spyware etc. then I would suggest restarting your computer and when sending a message giving it a couple of seconds to post. Sometime, but not often when the site is very busy it may take a moment to post and patience is required. Heavy traffic can cause slowdown on any site. | |

Am Convinced it's a Software Problem that is sporatically glitching worldwild, because others are having problems.............perhaps there is a Software Upgrade being done????? Crazy things happen at Work whenever we have a Nationwide Software Change........so this should be no different, because one person running this out of his home couldn't compare to the MONEY that the USA Fed Gov. pisses away......
It's getting stranger...........can now read emails, and when I do, the little envelope doesn't open so at LEAST the person sending it doesn't think that I just read it and didn't respond.............

Posted: 7/13/2007 10:07:47 PM | PS......I HAVE been doing system maintenance, though.........GOD, one can accumulate soooooooooo many cookies, etc. ,and I am pretty good about clearing mine at Least every 2 days.........
The high speed traffic idea is good, BUT, right now, there is less than a HALF of the people online than it was earlier in the day..............

Also am unable to really do anything on POF except view emails, profiles, etc. (can't reply to emails, change my profile settings, and all my emails disappeared) I've even tried increasing the timeout in regedit and it doesn't help. I've been looking through the forums this morning and there are quite a few people having the same email problems. So what is up with POF? | |

Posted: 7/15/2007 5:25:59 AM | I've been having problems for two days now. I get an email and when I go to respond it tells me that I have to log in again, then it erases the email I typed, now if I copy it , it also deletes who its supposed to go to.
Also, everytime I want to go to forums, who has viewed me its making me log back in. I accept cookies and have my security at medium and its never been a problem before, so why now.
Oh also, I noticed that I now have the ability to delete other peoples post in the forum section and that shouldn't be happening.
I operate this system off of AOL, could it be a problem coming from their end, I am becoming very frustrated at this.
Any suggestions would be appreciated | |
