| Snuggling: the new Iphone?
Posted: 7/14/2007 5:15:37 AM | One thing I have discovered in my conversations with women is the dire lack of snuggling/spooning in their lives. It's craved like nothing else. And I think many men feel the same way. It's likely a physical need--babies who don't get enough affection/touch can die from lack of same. Therefore, I think I will start a Rent-a-Snuggle business. People can choose who they'd like to spoon/snuggle, pay the rate listed, sign a contract that it will be nothing more than a professional snuggle, and go their own ways. On the other hand, this sounds really creepy. Maybe it should just become an option on dating. Both agree that "tonight, we'll snuggle, we both need it." Ideas? Thoughts?
I of course realize a lot of people will say that men, primarily, won't be able to keep to the strictly snuggling agreement. Depends on the person. (Btw, are spooning and snuggling the same thing? For bigger people, perhaps it's called "ladling." | |

I don't know...I personally feel it's a way for the man to get into your pants. I mean I don't mind snuggling if the right person but, a complete stranger would never work. Posted: 7/14/2007 8:08:38 AM | I think the majority of us singles are "skin hungry." And maybe that drives us more than anything else to seek a mate. I think feeding that hunger keeps us healthy and happy.
I know there's a lot of humor in your post, but in reality, feeding that hunger is a necessity. If you're lucky, you have friends who can help, who understand the need to physically connect (not sexually) with another adult human. When I visit my best friend, I get the middle spot on the couch..between she and her husband. lol We even fall asleep watching TV that way. He keeps saying he wants the middle, but we just ignore him. :)
It's really not so different than what the elderly crave...those who have outlived their spouses...many in nursing homes, etc. Often, the only physical contact they get is a diaper change, or a strong hand helping them up....nothing personal. They absolutely love to be touched. It doesn't matter if you just hold their hand, they light up. Humans NEED that physical connection. | |

Lets call snuggling what it really is FOREPLAY. Women and men both get into it and in most cases it leads to SEX. When it doesn’t then we accept the comfort we feel and call in snuggling. Think about it you’re not going to say to a new SO "Why don't we just lay around and have foreplay" No way! Snuggling sounds so much better and is certainly much more PC.
I live in Vegas and the services here charge the same for snuggling that they do for foreplay... | |
