Saturday July 21st! 10 AM - Solo Piping Competition & Drumming Competiiton 2:15 PM - Pipe Band Competition 10 AM-4 - Heavy Games (Fantastic feats of strength include putting the stone, caber toss, skillet toss, sheaf throw, and rolling-pin toss. Women's and men's competitions are featured.) All day - Great Scots of Edmonton Quiz - Test your knowledge of Edmonton's Scottish history and enter our prize draw.
Throught the day @ 1846 Hudson't Bay Fort and the Cree Camp - (11:30 AM) Sample bannock (12:30 PM) enjoy a gentlemen tea (1:30 PM) learn about class distinction from tripmen to gentlemen (2:15 PM) take in the pipe band competition in the courtyard (11 AM-5:30) Traditional Dancing and Music
Entertainment for the whole family including Irish and Highland Dancing, the Scottish Country Dancers, and vocalists.
11 AM-5:30 PM Scottish Pub -Stop by for a pint and some traditional Scottish fare. 12:55 & 5:30 PM Massed Band - A breathtaking sight of bands marching down 1885 Street (12:55 PM) and 1905 Street (5:30 PM) 12:30 & 2:15 PM Sample Haggis on 1885 Street at Ottwell Farm House (12:30 PM) or at Tent City on 1905 Street (2:15 PM) while supplies last. 2 PM Sample Oatcakes (Way YUMMMY) Interpreters at the Kenneth McDonald House will be whipping up a batch of oatcakes for you to try (while supplies last). 11:30 AM & 3 PM Scottish Music Appreciation Enjoy a sampling of Scottish songs performed by our talented interpreters at Rutherford House (11:30 AM) and beside the McDougall Methodist Church (3 PM). 3-5 PM Children's Craft; Get creative with wool at Melton Farm. 4 PM A Brief History of Bannock; This traditional bread may surprise you with its origins. all day 1920s Midway; Enjoy a variety of games, activities, and performances.
