| Going Bald? Posted: 7/19/2007 3:16:22 AM | there comes a time in every mans and possible womans life, when the hair on the head is thinning. it could start be receeding into an island or a clssic bald patch. i started receeding at an early age and have done well to keep the hair on my head. when you start growing hair else where, like your back, chest and up your nose.
do you worry about hair loss?
do you take any measures to deal with hair loss?
what are your views on people who carry their family genes regarding hair loss?
*not redundant, ive checked on several different spellings and thread titles

| Going Bald? Posted: 7/19/2007 3:25:35 AM | hair does not really bother me now, as ive had nearly 10years to come to terms with my thinning hair line.
i would never have the "treatment" as i fail to see how it would work.
the one things that bother me, are the rug wearers and the bobby charltons.

| Going Bald? Posted: 7/19/2007 3:28:04 AM | I still have a (very) full head of hair, and am hopeful that that is how things will stay.
However..... I do have an opinion (there's a surprise) on the old "oh dear, poor me, I'm losing my hair" from which men suffer.....
The balding which men see occurring is called Male Pattern Baldness. It's something which happens to the majority of men at some stage in their lives. It's a MALE thing. MEN go bald. To me (and I hope to lots of other women) the fact that a man is bald(ing) is, actually, quite a good thing. If one likes a bit of chest hair, broad shoulders, narrow hips and all the other things (like protruding trouser furniture) which personify maleness, then one if happy to see a bit of scalp too!
I personally think that its much more of an issue to men than it is to women. Women who like male men like the masculine characteristics of men!
Bring on the baldies, I say!

| Going Bald? Posted: 7/19/2007 3:32:50 AM | do you worry about hair loss? Nope!
do you take any measures to deal with hair loss? 3 head rotary shaver & trimmer on 'zero''setting.
what are your views on people who carry their family genes regarding hair loss? They/We got all the manly testosterone stuff!!
Top Tip for any "follicle panickers" out there:
You'll look a laughing stock tw*t in a syrup or an 'Arthur Scargill' shredded wheat job on yer head!!

| Going Bald? Posted: 7/19/2007 3:35:58 AM | I would rather see a shaved/bald head, than one where its trying to be disguised !!! I find bald men very sexy, just as I find very long hair on a man very sexy.. Each to their own, but as SJS says, men seem to have more of a problem dealing with it than the women they are with, or trying to attract.. I thought baldness was associated with virility in men ??!!?? | |
|
| Going Bald? Posted: 7/19/2007 3:37:47 AM | Just my opinion............BUT, I think a man who shaves his head is waaaaaay "HOT". Something about that look.........just does a number on me. yummy | |
|
| Going Bald? Posted: 7/19/2007 3:40:35 AM | | I think the only people who ought to worry about losing their hair are the munters who aren't going to suit the look. They're in a world of shit, and that's just too damn unlucky. My heart does go out the the unlucky many. Still, there's always a facial reconstruction to be had on the NHS. | |

I would rather see a shaved/bald head, than one where its trying to be disguised !!! My own sentiments entirely Posh, I totally agree. Anyway, I thought a bald/shaved head was just a solar panel for a love machine!!
Still, there's always a facial reconstruction to be had on the NHS. As always Acidman, you have all the answers!!

| Going Bald? Posted: 7/19/2007 4:01:23 AM | depending on the reason for hair loss you can stimulate the hair growth by getting regular head massage my grandfather started to go bald so I massaged his scalp every day he has passed now but continued to have a full head of hair | |

| Going Bald? Posted: 7/19/2007 4:15:40 AM | | Bald guys are always hot and mysterious | |

do you worry about hair loss? I'm not concerned about hair loss, I've had really short hair and it grew back really quickly.
do you take any measures to deal with hair loss? It's not actually an issue for me
what are your views on people who carry their family genes regarding hair loss? I think some people were just born unlucky.
My brother had beautiful hair as a youngster...gorgeous ringlets, he was a male version of Shirley Temple but unfortunately he inherited his particular 'male pattern baldness' from my mother's father, he became bald at age 20 too. Luckily my brother is incredibly handsome and being bald accentuates his good looks.
I have another brother who is suffering from the same kind of baldness as my father...it's hilariously funny actually...
I just hope my son, who is the splitting image of his father retains his hair like his dad because he is not as lucky as my older brother in the looks department.

No. An erection is usually associated with virility in men.

| Going Bald? Posted: 7/19/2007 8:32:54 AM | Baldness, I pity bald guys I know it can be quite distressing, I had a friends who was going bald and was severly depressed at the fact he was.
Now got to go, I am off out, now where did I leave my comb?

Baldness, I pity bald guys I know it can be quite distressing, I had a friends who was going bald and was severly depressed at the fact he was.
Whats makes you think we need or want your pity?
Save your pity for your unfortunate friend cos most of us balding fellas are not pissing our pants over it! Nothing a good shaver cant sort out... enjoy youyr comb, i dont need to bother
|
| Going Bald? Posted: 7/19/2007 8:41:01 AM | Going bald? No, not personally. I have no problem with bald men, can be very sexy, as can a full head of hair. It's the inbetweenies that try to hang on to the last tufts that I can't be doing with. Just shave it and be done with it.
If it came to a choice, I'd rather have a virile baldie than an impotent Mr Timotei.

Baldness, I pity bald guys I know it can be quite distressing, I had a friends who was going bald and was severly depressed at the fact he was. How very condescending and rude!
I don't quite see how a man who is showing outward signs of being a man is in any way in need of anyones 'pity'.
If I wasn't a such a refined lady I'd tell you what I think you should do with your comb!
|
| Going Bald? Posted: 7/19/2007 8:45:32 AM | Going bald didn't worry me when I was 20 and doesn't now. What hair is left gets trimmed and shaved Why should it? May as well ask someone if their big ears, nose or whatever bothers them. Things happen for which we have no control. You deal with it and get on | |

IF anything, its NORMAL in MEN, rare in boys....
Why would i be concerned that my hair is going the same way as most men? Not much logic in that, i can live with the fact that i cant grow it really long and look like a girl

| Going Bald? Posted: 7/19/2007 9:35:45 AM | If anyone deserves pity it's those unfortunate women with a hair-obsessed bloke.....all that arguing & fighting for 'hairdryer time'.....shuffling back to the house or car for an umbrella in case it might rain.....aggghhh drizzle!! Big night out ruined...moody tantrum to follow!!
Bathroom squabbles:
"Sorry Luv..Forgot to mention I used the last of your Croatian camel-dung conditioner creme"
Real Manly | |

as you get older, does your undercarriage thin out too?
Well my gran told me that her mother's lady garden lost its curl! lol. Not sure if that's true. I have very thick hair and as for baldness in men - dont mind a shaved head , anything but a comb over!

| Going Bald? Posted: 7/19/2007 11:26:29 AM |
there comes a time in every mans and possible womans life, when the hair on the head is thinning. For me it was my mid-teens so I've pretty much always had a high hair line. As such I've had a long time to get used to it so it really doesn't concern me one little bit.

| Going Bald? Posted: 7/19/2007 11:30:21 AM | Some men are drop dead fookin gorgeous hair or no hair, Bruce Willis for example.. Hubba Hubba and some look plain odd, especially if they have a lumpy skull. As long as they keep their hair either very well cut if they have any left (as in a number 1 or 2) or chose to keep it completely shaved as in "OI BALDY" bald then its all good in my book... It looks horrible when the 28 hairs they have left are swept over to give the impression of a full head of hair or with tufty bits where they shave it with a mac3 and miss bits.
Bald or Hairy.. MEN ARE GLORIOUS
