| Guys and Their Cars Posted: 7/25/2007 11:31:33 PM | Why is it, in so many profile pictures, guys like to take pictures of themselves with their cars? or trucks? or motorcycles? And you can usually see the car/truck motorcycle better than the guy? Has anyone else noticed this? | |
|
| Guys and Their Cars Posted: 7/26/2007 2:15:22 AM | | Maybe those guys like cars or trucks or motorcycles. Maybe they work on cars as a hobby/passion. Maybe they take their truck off-roading. Maybe they want a woman who'd enjoy riding on the back of their motorcycle. Maybe they're dumb enough to think their possessions will impress most women. Maybe they like the gold-digging women who actually are impressed. | |

| Guys and Their Cars Posted: 7/26/2007 2:26:37 AM | | This is a good question though. You don't see too many chicks showing off their matching shoes and handbags. | |

| Guys and Their Cars Posted: 7/26/2007 2:40:39 AM | 1) For most men, their transportation tells a lot about them 2) Boys like cars. How is it you've lived for 50 years and not figured that out? | |

| Guys and Their Cars Posted: 7/26/2007 4:52:22 AM | We just feel passionately about our cars or adult toys if you want to call them that, especially in Southern California. | |
|
| Guys and Their Cars Posted: 7/26/2007 8:45:24 AM | | Hmmmm......good question...To me a car is just transportation... | |
|
| Guys and Their Cars Posted: 7/26/2007 8:48:35 AM | Because we are fresh out of 'multiple-cats-on a flower print couch' photos that we know the ladies love.
Judging by their profiles, anyway........

| Guys and Their Cars Posted: 7/26/2007 12:25:14 PM | | My car is my toy, my truck is my transportation. | |
|
| Guys and Their Cars Posted: 7/26/2007 10:33:52 PM | | Thanks for the input guys.....just wondered, that's all. (And if you think guys like cars in CA, you should come to Texas, oy!) | |
|
| Guys and Their Cars Posted: 7/26/2007 11:08:23 PM | Depends on the car. If it’s a 1957 T-bird it’s a car that he loves and cares for.
If it’s a 2008 Aston Marten DB9 he’s saying “look, I have money.”
You won't see many guys posing with a Chevy Cavavlier.
|
| Guys and Their Cars Posted: 7/28/2007 1:30:13 PM | | If I see a guy posing with a classic car, it instantly gets my attention as I collect them ... so it's a good eye-catcher for some of us. | |

| Guys and Their Cars Posted: 7/28/2007 7:25:29 PM | I have been fixxing cars and trucks since the 1970's. All they are to me is transportation. Kind of like a washer, dryer, refrigerator, etc. As long as it does what it is supposed to do, i do not care. Anybody with 1/2 a brain can get a license to drive, and then open up their wallets to purchase what they want. Now airplanes are a whole different story. It takes alot of training, skill, money, time, and guts to master the art of flying. I read somewhere that 70 % of people that take lessons never become pilots. I made it. And i find airplanes to be much more interesting than any car, truck, motorcycle, whatever. That is why i have them posted in my profile. Two of the airplanes i have flown. And i feel it makes me stand out from the crowd of guys standing next to their cars, trucks, motorcycles, etc. | |

| Guys and Their Cars Posted: 7/28/2007 7:45:21 PM | Maybe they are proud of their car. Some people choose cars that look like them, and see their car as a part of their identity. You can learn a LOT about a person by the type of car they drive, you know. But don't assume stereotypes, 'cause they NEVER work. E.g. I have a friend who used to own VW Golfs, because they're safe and reliable. He's never on time. But he is very, very smart when it comes to buying stuff. He'll always pick the reliable, workable option. He's also not bothered about personal appearance, his or his S/Os. He's willing to give a lot of women a chance.

| Guys and Their Cars Posted: 7/28/2007 8:03:17 PM | It's not just guys.
I have seen a number of women with pictures of vehicles, horses, dogs, cats and even kids in their profiles... so what the big deal?

| Guys and Their Cars Posted: 7/29/2007 12:45:54 AM | ^^^ Good one.
OP: it's a guy thing - gotta remember no woman has ever invented anything with a moving part in it. Accept it the way we do women going all gaga over fingernail polish.
|
| Guys and Their Cars Posted: 7/29/2007 3:30:30 AM | This woman loves muscle cars and racing. Been on my share of motorcycles and have fond memories of a red '57 Ford pick-up truck. I know you fly a plane with your feet. Know what's under a hood and probably fix a flat faster than most. | |
|
| Guys and Their Cars Posted: 7/29/2007 3:59:16 AM | If I posted a pic of me with my car, an old rusty ford.....sheeesh.. i'll never get a response. | |

Depends on the age of the car -- some of us get turned on by old Detroit iron

| Guys and Their Cars Posted: 7/29/2007 7:46:50 AM | | Hey.....show me a picture of you standing beside your pick-up truck or old 'beater' and I'm all yours......lol. Especially if it doesn't have a middle console.....wink, wink, nudge, nudge... | |
|
| Guys and Their Cars Posted: 7/29/2007 8:19:00 AM | | It's because we can't post a picture of our penis on this site. Next best thing, really. | |
|
| Guys and Their Cars Posted: 7/29/2007 9:37:03 AM | Yup, they're not called hot rods for nuthin'.
