| My Bestest of the Best Posted: 7/28/2007 11:07:19 AM | Ok....I am no professional cook, all my snacks are trial and error but they are bloody nice.
1st - Is Cheese on toast
Now this isn't just cheese on toast, its special. Slice up some nice Chedder Cheese, Mild Irish Chedder is nice for this. Toast one side of bread and on the un toasted side Spread some Marmite ofer it, not alot as its strong but it depends on if you like it or not, I cant eat it out of the jar but can with this snack. Ok add some sliced tomatoes on top of that and some fine onion, thin slices. Now add the cheese on top of that and grill until it melts. Voilla. Now you can add on top some Branston Pickle which I think tops it off nicely, alternative to that is Brown Sauce.
2nd - The Ultimate
Grill some bacon, Smokey bacon works well. Fry one egg sunyside up, do not allow the yolk to cook through. Take one Balm Cake and smear one side with Brown Sauce, juicy.
Ok now take some mushrooms and tomato and fry them in a pan. Add the bacon and place the egg on top and pop the yolk. Now place the mushrooms on top of that and also the tomato. Now add a thin slice of cheese over the top of that and place the top bun on like a burger. Now place under the grill until it goes crispy.
Yum licious!!!!!

| My Bestest of the Best Posted: 7/29/2007 9:53:06 AM | LOL u never heard of marmite? and Brown Sauce? my GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Marmite is actually nice with cheese, its a bit like beef extract but its not, it is very good for you.
Brown sauce is a kind of spicy sauce. Google "Daddies Brown Sauce" or "HP Brown Sauce". I am sure you can get it if you are in the USA or Canada.

| My Bestest of the Best Posted: 7/29/2007 10:15:24 AM | | Cheese on Toast sounds so good, but, yes the bacon and tomato make is irresistable. | |
|
| My Bestest of the Best Posted: 7/29/2007 1:57:04 PM | When I said you had me until the Marmite, I meant I don't care for it. It is really just like a bouillon paste. Wayyyy too salty for me. Leave off the Marmite and I would eat the sandwich. | |

| My Bestest of the Best Posted: 7/29/2007 2:21:38 PM | Marmite is just such nasty stuff! You have to use Vegemite!!!
But I'm really not sure what the "brown" stuff is either.
|

Marmites are parasites that feed off of Marmots.
