| Pouring of the candle wax, has anyone done it? Posted: 7/28/2007 9:15:34 PM | | I'm just curious if anyone on POF has done that naughty thing...lol Now I think if you had the candle wax that doesn't get to hot.......that pouring it all over your lover's body would be great fun.......and vice versa....... Though some might say thats crazy......Guess it's whatever floats your boat......lol | |

But, I think it would be very pleasurable to be blind folded and let my senses run wild and have that done, just to feel the sensations.

Also, use unscented candles only. The essential oils used to scent candles raise the melting point.
Finally, don't pour at first, but drip. A little sensation goes a long way, especially for newbies.
Oh! Double-finally, start with the candle four or five feet over your "victim," so the wax cools some on the way down. Once you've established you're not going to do permanent damage, you can reduce the distance for more heat.
And, triple-finally, give your victim a safe word, and stop if s/he utters it. Otherwise, what could have been play becomes abuse.
Happy torture!
Cheers!

| Pouring of the candle wax, has anyone done it? Posted: 7/29/2007 1:02:33 AM | | Done it before and encourage it with partners. Some are cool, some are not, as goes life. I have a high threshold for pain so it doesn't really bother me with dripping, but pour is a little too intense. | |

| Pouring of the candle wax, has anyone done it? Posted: 7/29/2007 1:31:59 AM | It can be a wonderful avenue for artistic expression. Blindfold the person, turn the lights down low, put on some low music (I like Rachmaninoff) and create art with wax. Drip a rose, drip abstract, drip your initials as a symbol of ownership, all the while whispering words in their ear. You will be creating pain, pleasure and art all at once, and how many times can you claim that?
So yes, wax play is wonderful and I totally encourage it, with some of the caveats as mentioned above such as proper candle wax, knowing which parts of the body are off limits, safe words and unscented.

| Pouring of the candle wax, has anyone done it? Posted: 7/29/2007 5:00:27 AM | | You can now buy a cool burning candle wax just for this activity. I know a home party adult toy co. sells it here in Canada!! It's not really a traditional wax - but melts like it but has no heat! I would think that if you check with your local adult toy shop you could probably purchase it!! | |

It's a great idea, comes with its own little spoon for pouring onto your partner, and really sets the mood for some fun. Only drawback is the oily residue left over. But I guess if you're massaging right, that isn't the only residue that'll be left over....

| Pouring of the candle wax, has anyone done it? Posted: 7/29/2007 3:39:26 PM | Well, I have a special candle made of soy....it smells good...when heated becomes a nice WARM silky consistancy and when poured on the body feels FABULOUS! Everyone has a different threshold to pain, so you have to do what is safe and comfortable for BOTH parties. I discovered these soy candles at a TOY party for big kids
And...well..I've used regular wax candles too. Messy messy........can burn the flesh, but if used with care are fun too. I think I'm more inclined to stick with my soy based candles.....as I'm more into giving pleasure than pain...most of the time.

| Pouring of the candle wax, has anyone done it? Posted: 7/29/2007 3:49:05 PM | | I did it once and would do it again. A lot of hairs got pulled but for some reason it went from hurting to a real turn on. For me the more hot wax was poured on me and peeled off the more excited I got. It was so cool and made for the sexual love making experience a super hot time. Did it 3 times that night and want to do more of it. Guys if your lady likes you with a bold chest or (WINK) other places this works very well, I guarentee it...LOL For both of you...lol | |

| Pouring of the candle wax, has anyone done it? Posted: 7/29/2007 7:22:32 PM | OP, I've done it with a past girlfriend. The key is to hold the candle high enough so the falling wax has time to cool before hitting the skin. Blindfolded and hot wax, equals hot erotic experience. | |

| Pouring of the candle wax, has anyone done it? Posted: 1/4/2008 2:58:02 PM | | When trying anything new it's best to talk it over before just whipping it out and having at it. make sure both parties are comfortable with it first. At the very least test it on a area of the body that is more use to heat and the like. The hand would be a good spot. If it's too hot for your hand think of what it would be like on other area's. Safe words are a must for both people. This lets the person who is being done know they have a way to stop and it lets the person doing know when thier partner has had enough with out wondering did that stop mean oh god more? | |

| Pouring of the candle wax, has anyone done it? Posted: 1/4/2008 3:14:08 PM | | Sure. I saw movie after movie as I was growing up with this naughty thing in it. Soooo me and one of my first girlfriends tried. Hurt like hell. I never wanna do it again. If we'd let it cool any more it would have been gunky. Maybe we did something wrong, but it just wasnt pleasant to me. Plus I dont overly like having substances on my skin. I hate skin lotion for instance. | |
