| Bungee Jumping. Posted: 8/4/2007 1:49:34 PM | I went out this afternoon and evenin to watch my Guy do Bungee Jump for Charity, it looked fantastic to watch and I'd LOVE to do it. The old adrenalin going like crazy!
Have any of you lot done Bungee jumping?

| Bungee Jumping. Posted: 8/4/2007 1:51:43 PM | | no never ever ever cos making your internal organs hit your rib cage as that speed is just plain stupid on legs! | |
|
| Bungee Jumping. Posted: 8/4/2007 1:58:13 PM | Not me ! I'm a coward but will quite happily watch others do it | |

| Bungee Jumping. Posted: 8/4/2007 2:18:13 PM | | Ive done two, both from the Bloukrans River Bridge in South Africa, its the worlds highest (or claims to be) and its a 7oo foot drop. Its an amazing experience, not as scary as I'd thought it would be. I loved it so much I went back for another go. Its such a rush its untrue, just something amazing about hurtling towards the ground at a fair rate of knots before the bungee kicks in and you start to bounce below the bridge. An experience I'll never forget. | |

| Bungee Jumping. Posted: 8/4/2007 3:32:45 PM | Yea, I did it once, for charity..in a pub car park! It was a teeny one, and I loved it, but I do like the sound of:
7oo foot drop
Anyone for a bunjee jumping first date? =D

| Bungee Jumping. Posted: 8/4/2007 4:30:24 PM | | I would rather chew broken glass. I'm terrified of heights and admire anyone who can do a bungee jump. | |

| Bungee Jumping. Posted: 8/4/2007 4:58:02 PM | | There are quite a few things Id like to do before I die...watched bungee jumping on TV , Id probabaly agree to doing it. After a few deep breaths!!!..... | |
|
| Bungee Jumping. Posted: 8/4/2007 7:13:29 PM | Never in a million years, omg just thinking about it makes me sweat.
I really envy those that do these kinds of things.
Ever since having kids I can't even go on fair rides, not sure why.
The only thing I want to do before I die is get a tattoo and go on a cruise, kind of lame I know.

| Bungee Jumping. Posted: 8/4/2007 8:45:55 PM | I walk to the shop sometimes, thats fairly scary with an aura. You're more likely to die getting in your car than getting on a bungee | |

| Bungee Jumping. Posted: 8/5/2007 9:07:01 AM | I have done 2, they were great. One over the Thames (300ft) and one in Milton Keynes.
It is a great buzz, You should just go and do one, they are inexpensive (£50.00-£85.00 with UK bungee club).
Could be an idea for a POF meet, all sign up for bungees and then get sloshed afterwards!
|
| Bungee Jumping. Posted: 8/5/2007 9:12:25 AM | I went up in the cage to do it, but bottled out at the last minute. I felt rather sick and my legs nearly buckled when i watched the person in front of me do it.
I'm petrified of heights and thought I'd try overcome the fear. I can't put my trust into an giant elastic band, knowing my luck it would snap.
|
| Bungee Jumping. Posted: 8/5/2007 9:13:42 AM | Erm...................................No thank you!!! dont think the bungee rope would take my weight anyhow !!
I admire anyone who does it and for charity is really commendable but no, i couldnt do it, have never seen one done either.
|
| Bungee Jumping. Posted: 8/5/2007 12:31:13 PM | Noooooooooooooooo! It can't be good for you... and it's terrifying...... and lots of other scaredy cat reasons (what if your eyes popped out at the bottom?).
I've done abseils for charity, that was terrifying fun. I'm frightened of heights but was quite happy with the idea until it came to stepping over the edge. Went a bit wobbley at that point. Did it, got to the bottom and then paid an extra tenner to do it again!

| Bungee Jumping. Posted: 8/5/2007 12:54:28 PM | | The thought of bungee jumping makes me feel utterly sick! I would never do it! | |
|
| Bungee Jumping. Posted: 8/5/2007 1:08:41 PM | omg!!! what if you did it over a river with crocs in and one bit your head off.... like that advert. | |
|
| Bungee Jumping. Posted: 8/5/2007 1:11:04 PM | | Haven't yet...but will when I go to oz/nz next year - do it good or not at all! | |
|
| Bungee Jumping. Posted: 8/5/2007 1:46:39 PM | | Yeah what a great buzz !! done it twice in N.Z. only thing they didn't tell me was that if you done it starkers you didn't have to pay . | |

gets the heart pumpin and im scared of height lol lmao
|
| Bungee Jumping. Posted: 7/9/2009 9:19:58 PM | | I did it for the first time 2 years ago and I'm in my mid 50's. I drove 5 hrs. just to get there. I did it twice to make the trek worthwhile and it was a terrifying experience. For some people, it's really a rush and they love it. But I found it just terrifying....but, I'd do it again and see if I feel differently next time. | |

| Bungee Jumping. Posted: 7/10/2009 12:07:25 AM | Not something that has ever appealed. I can't see the point. It's no more 'dangerous' than going to Alton Towers really. Which is another thing I have never understood.........why do people get thrills on a roller coaster. Many engineers spend a lot of time designing the turns to give an exact acceleration which is always inside set limits, then spend an even longer amount of time designing the machine to achieve it. Where's the fun?
I've always more enjoyed pursuits where you have a personal input which can affect the outcome.

For some people, it's really a rush and they love it.
I can see the appeal, but it's not for me.
I don't 'do' gravity events........and I can have far more fun with a rubber band here in the privacy of own home!

| Bungee Jumping. Posted: 7/10/2009 12:33:55 AM | | no,it doesn't appeal to me,i'd probably vomit as i get sea sick on a swing | |
|
| Bungee Jumping. Posted: 7/10/2009 2:55:18 AM | | I would love to do this, sadly the bungee rope would not love my weight! I would only do this over water though! | |
|
| Bungee Jumping. Posted: 7/10/2009 3:00:55 AM | Cant see the point....with 680+ parachute jumps i think it would be rather tame by comparison | |
