Ive done two, both from the Bloukrans River Bridge in South Africa, its the worlds highest (or claims to be) and its a 7oo foot drop. Its an amazing experience, not as scary as I'd thought it would be. I loved it so much I went back for another go. Its such a rush its untrue, just something amazing about hurtling towards the ground at a fair rate of knots before the bungee kicks in and you start to bounce below the bridge. An experience I'll never forget.

Yea, I did it once, for charity..in a pub car park!
It was a teeny one, and I loved it, but I do like the sound of:

7oo foot drop

I would rather chew broken glass. I'm terrified of heights and admire anyone who can do a bungee jump.

Never in a million years, omg just thinking about it makes me sweat.

I really envy those that do these kinds of things.

Ever since having kids I can't even go on fair rides, not sure why.

The only thing I want to do before I die is get a tattoo and go on a cruise, kind of lame I know.

I walk to the shop sometimes, thats fairly scary with an aura.
You're more likely to die getting in your car than getting on a bungee

I have done 2, they were great. One over the Thames (300ft) and one in Milton Keynes.

It is a great buzz, You should just go and do one, they are inexpensive (£50.00-£85.00 with UK bungee club).

Could be an idea for a POF meet, all sign up for bungees and then get sloshed afterwards!

I went up in the cage to do it, but bottled out at the last minute. I felt rather sick and my legs nearly buckled when i watched the person in front of me do it.

I'm petrified of heights and thought I'd try overcome the fear. I can't put my trust into an giant elastic band, knowing my luck it would snap.

Noooooooooooooooo!
It can't be good for you... and it's terrifying...... and lots of other scaredy cat reasons (what if your eyes popped out at the bottom?).

I've done abseils for charity, that was terrifying fun. I'm frightened of heights but was quite happy with the idea until it came to stepping over the edge. Went a bit wobbley at that point. Did it, got to the bottom and then paid an extra tenner to do it again!

I did it for the first time 2 years ago and I'm in my mid 50's. I drove 5 hrs. just to get there. I did it twice to make the trek worthwhile and it was a terrifying experience. For some people, it's really a rush and they love it. But I found it just terrifying....but, I'd do it again and see if I feel differently next time.

Not something that has ever appealed. I can't see the point. It's no more 'dangerous' than going to Alton Towers really. Which is another thing I have never understood.........why do people get thrills on a roller coaster. Many engineers spend a lot of time designing the turns to give an exact acceleration which is always inside set limits, then spend an even longer amount of time designing the machine to achieve it. Where's the fun?

I've always more enjoyed pursuits where you have a personal input which can affect the outcome.

I can see the appeal, but it's not for me.

I don't 'do' gravity events........and I can have far more fun with a rubber band here in the privacy of own home!

I would love to do this, sadly the bungee rope would not love my weight! I would only do this over water though!

Cant see the point....with 680+ parachute jumps i think it would be rather tame by comparison
