| Fergus party weekend? I've talked to a few fishes in the area and some will be out of town, some might attend but I haven't seen anything mentioned here on the boards. I'd love to meet some of the people there as I've heard that Canadian fish are a much friendlier species...must be the cold weather or something. | |

I'll be arriving in Fergus Thursday afternoon, staying the entire weekend and heading back on Monday, so I'll be there the entire weekend. I'll be with a group of people at about 9:30 in the geneology tent for a reading by invited author, Diana Gabaldon. My friends are camping on-site but I'll be staying at nearby hotel with some other friends. Come on up...I'll probably be wearing or will be with a group of people wearing shirts that say "I LIKE BIG BOOKS."

makes you wonder who thought these things up...and why? who knows for sure,, but i'll bet the mortgage, that there were large quantities of alcohol involved when they did.

| Fergus party weekend? Posted: 8/7/2007 8:38:40 AM | Hi
I will be there on the Sunday. I work in the Children's tent/activities. I will be at Diana Gabaldon's reading on the Sunday. I work on the Saturday making money - so will probably not be there that day at all.
It is fun. I will look for you.
I will probably have on a volunteer's t-shirt.
See you.

The weekend was great and I loved the countryside, the rivers and lakes...but not too keen about the big bridge over Hamilton Harbor. Holy crap!! (did I mention I have a wee fear of heights?)
And although I do like the sound of a bagpipe now and then...I think I've heard enough for a while....at least until our own Highland Games roll around in February!
