Posted: 5/9/2005 10:50:34 AM | when he is practically a stalker. calls all the time leaving really long "i love you" messages. text messages you all the time. Shows up at your job when you never let him go there in the first place. I mean i dont want to have to get the police involved, but i almost feel like this is the only way!

If he did mess up and you arent going back there then just be nice but firm about it. If he just wont leave you alone then either ask a friend for help or report him. not saying this is happening because its your fault but its something to consider
there are no practically stalkers. what you are describing is stalking... you should get the police involved at this point.

stop whatever your doing. go directly to the police dept.
Do not stop anywhere on the way.
Have someone you know and trust go with you if you can like your mom or a sister.
Do not leave that police dept until you get a restraing order.
Find a way to tape or record any messages he leaves.
Get a notebook and write date, time and the message he left.
any message.
Have someone stay with you if you live alone. A good and mature friend because your ex
could come to your place posing as a delivery guy or something and trick someone intk getting in your place.
Do not accept any packages.
Do not open the door to anyone. A woman in New York years ago had a stalker and he threw acid in her face when she opened her door.
Do not leave the house at night alone.
Let everyone you know, know about this and ask for help. You could be in real danger.
Ask the police to talk to someone who can tell you ways to decrease your likelihood of being hurt, attacked or killed by this ex.
Above all do not talk to your ex. The only thing to say to him is...
STOP CONTACTING ME. I have reported this to the police and hang up. | |

I've been the guy who wouldn't take the hint before... and being able to evoke ANY response, even a negative one, was often preferable to not meaning anything at all to her.

He just wants me to know he's changed... oh now he's a stalker... but he would not hurt me... neither did the wives who married the mild manered submissive men think that they would be losing babies due to blows to the abdomin.
