| Pinellas County Posted: 8/15/2007 6:14:21 PM | I know of several nice places to take a first date. St Petersburg has a lot of restaurants. One look at my size, and you know I've tried most of them.
A really nice intimate setting is The Melting Pot..it is a fondue eatery. Nice atmosphere and good drinks.(Although I ALWAYS limit myself to one drink a night)
Gulfport is a quaint little beach town with a really nice French restaurant...and surprisingly inexpensive.
I took a date to a place in St Pete called Tiajuana Flats. It is an unusual burrito place very relaxed with a hot sauce bar. If the date turns out not so hot at least your food will be
Tio Pepe's is a Spanish...not Mexican, restaurant that is rather pricey,5star, restaurant in Clearwater. But the food is great and the best fresh made Sangria ever.
Hope this info is helpful and remember, this is just one guys opinion

Sloppy Joes at the Bilmar - Treasure Island. Excellent food! ENJOY!

| Pinellas County Posted: 5/27/2008 9:55:09 AM | | I live in Saint Pete and I have some favorite restaurants that I think would be date-friendly. In the downtown area I like Redwoods (gourmet) on Central Ave, Café Alma (eclectic) on 1st Ave S, Pacific Wave (seafood) on 2nd St S, and Moon Under Water (British Colonial) on Beach Drive. North on 4th St I recommend the Brown Dog Café (Spicy!) and Pepin (Spanish). | |

| Pinellas County Posted: 6/16/2008 6:51:50 AM | Spinners. It's on the top floor of the Grand Plaza Hotel on Gulf Blvd In St Pete Beach. The whole seating area of the restaurant is a big circle that turns very slowly and it is one of the best sunset views on the beach. The grouper nuggets are delicious. | |

| Pinellas County Posted: 8/31/2008 12:00:52 AM | Mazzaro's Italian Market, 22nd Ave N by 29th St N in St Pete.
Great food, cannollis, gelati, fresh made pastas and breads, and an espresso bar.
As good as anything in Little Italy, NY, or Philly.
Top notch.

Always a special, and great atmosphere. But take an armed guard, as it is not in the best neighborhood It is a 5 star restauranT.

| Pinellas County Posted: 3/29/2009 9:05:53 PM | I had an entertainment consulting business,(referred people from out of town where to go for food/entertainment,etc) I have a fantastic list of places for all kinds of food and prices. I personally have eaten at all of the places I recommend and rate their service, price and food. If you want some fun places that you can have a nice conversation and dont have to yell over the music, or keep gettting stepped on feel free to email me and I will get back to you.. I do this for any POF people as I feel they have been so good to me. Just tell me what kind of food or atmosphere, and location in Pinellas County and I most likely have all of there info.. Just name the food, BBQ, Steak, Sashimi/Sushi, vegetarian, etc and I will recommend a great place for a first date...

| Pinellas County Posted: 6/27/2009 2:00:42 PM | I love Mazzaro's, they have some great pasta dishes!!!
Salt Rock is another favorite in Indian Rocks

| Pinellas County Posted: 9/18/2009 9:26:58 PM | Another vote for Mazarro's here. They have great coffee as they import premium beans and SLOW roast them on premises. The grilled sandwiches can be a tad greasy, but all in all, the food is darn good. They are crowded at lunchtime and on Saturdays-- as they close at 2pm (Sat) and closed on Sunday. The decor is interesting, lots to look at. Old world feel. Don't rush.
Bonefish Grill- The bang bang shrimp is to die for. Their ahi tuna sashimi is the best around. They have a limited menu which lets them focus on consistency in their food quality and presentation. A very good cup of coffee and the creme brulee is sinful. The staff at the 4th St location make you feel at home, fun and always hospitable and accomodating.
The Columbia Restaurant is nice because of it's location. While not in Pinellas, the original in Ybor City has a strong ambience that made me remark to my waiter...If these walls could talk, I bet one would hear the most incredible stories. He affirmed my sentiment and told us about some of the colorful patrons and goings on years ago.
If you are a hot sauce afficiando, Tiajuana Flats is the place. Casual. Chipotles has good food, it's fast, the plasticware is made in the USA and they are green oriented.
