| Anybody else have this happen?
Posted: 8/16/2007 2:39:27 AM | I have noticed a disturbing pattern in my attempts to meet woman using POF. I will make contact with somebody I believe has potential, have a good exchange of messages, then set up a face to face meeting. What seems to happen quite often though, is that after a "date" has been agreed upon, she will cancel at the last minute. After this date is canceled or delayed, I end up never hearing from her again. Its strange. Some of the excuses for canceling are pretty lame as well. I recently had somebody wuss out of a date because she had to stay home on a Friday night to do home renovations (huh?).
So I was wondering if this happens to anybody else. Its not like it happens all the time, but I would estimate that almost 50% of the meetings I agree upon never end up happening and the the woman just sort of vanishes. And its not like I am pushy or asking asking to meet prematurely. I tend to take things slowly and quite often it is the woman who suggests a meeting.

Posted: 8/16/2007 5:30:03 AM | Well I personally have not had this happen to me...Except for one! Who asked was it O.K to call me...MMmmmm well needless to say , I was stood up by a "phone call" ! That was a first LMFAO! I've since learned that he has gotten engaged so...the answer to him not calling has been answered! 
As for "women" or "men" saying they want to meet and then cancelling...WTF is wrong with you people? If you don't want to meet after making plans to do so...just tell that person FF"S!
"NEWTONFLD"....It's just a lame excuse that they are giving you...my thoughts would be that they had no intentions of meeting you in the first place... but took the cowards way out to avoid the situation! Dirty little B!tCh3$ is my opinion...

Posted: 8/17/2007 2:39:40 PM | It appears to be happening all over.. not just on the Rock... people have no manners ....they suggest meetings or dates and the most decent actually are the ones who cancel with a lame excuse...they others just blow it off as if it were nothing.,.. no hello .. goodbye or kissmearse...
Their loss I say... rebait the hook and let 'er fly.... better fishies out there waiting...
Some of us had mothers who raised us right I guess and we have manners and social graces and everything...
Often those very same ones who blow off dates or meeetings with such a cavalier attitude are in here whining because people don't respect them and treat them right ...well duh... | |
