Hi,
I allowed a friend to use my password and view some of the men I had in my favorites. Now, my account is acting funny as though perhaps she were messing around with my account. I have been trying to change my password and I CAN NOT get it to change. I need help ASAP please.
Thank you

Try changing you password, see link enclosed.

Profiles: Editing Registration

If you the mail account which you registered with has been changed, then yes I would say that your account has been compromised but do note that you logged into the forums and have been able to post this thread.

Moderators do not have access to profiles, passwords and personal information.

Note: Do not under any circumstances allow others access to your Passwords, you are solely responsible for your account on this site.

This may only be a matter of the server not working properly due to ISP issues but change your password immediately.

Hi,
No luck with it yet. I am going to shut down this computer and try again. Hopefully that will do the trick.

I have shut down and restarted this computer, and still CAN NOT get my password to change.

Try this:E-Mail: Logoff

Then change your Password.

If she has logged in from another Computer under your Account Name, and is still currently Online, you cannot change your Password from your Computer.

If you can access your Profile with your current Password, but you cannot change it, then the Admin will have to have a look at it.

Yes, Ticketoride,
That sounds like what I need to happen. I can access my profile using my existing password, but cannot change it. The weird thing is that I am having to re-log in with my user name and password almost with every action. Very strange!

How can I get the administrator to help me?
Thanks

Resolving "Login" Issues

Issues:
  • To Resolve E-Mail and Forum Logins.

  • To resolve Issues relating to the changing of Passwords

  • To reduce the Frequency of Re-Logins

  • To increase the Speed surfing Plentyoffish.com

  • To resolve Distributions in Respect to the Site's Load Balancer

  • 1.Locate the Lmhosts File. Because this file can be in different locations
its usually easiest to simply open Window's "FIND" and search
for "Lmhosts" File, but "not" Lmhosts.sam

Click here on how to 'Search': How to use Windows "Find Files" Feature.

(If you do not have a Lmhosts File, then create one.
Open Notepad and go to Step #6)

For Users who are manually looking to locate the File, below is a listing of
the Version of Windows and the Location of the Lmhosts File.

    Microsoft Windows 98
    C:\Windows\

    Microsoft Windows 2000
    C:\Winnt\System32\drivers\etc

    Microsoft Windows XP
    C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

    Microsoft Windows Vista
    C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
(If you do not have a Lmhosts File, then create one. Open Notepad and go to Step #6)
2.Once the file has been located right-click the File and select "Open With..." and if prompted, select "Select the Program from a List" and click < OK >

3.In the listing of Programs used to open the File scroll to the Bottom of the List and highlight WordPad or Notepad and click the < OK > Button.

4.Following the above Steps should open the Lmhosts File and allow you to add or remove Content from the File. You cannot modify the "Lmhosts" file in Windows Vista

5.In WordPad or Notepad, place the Cursor to the farthest Point to the Right at the far Bottom of the Window, after the last Letter of the very last Word/Symbol.
Then hit < Enter > on your Keyboard twice.

6.Copy & Paste the following Line to the Bottom of either the WordPad or Notepad Window:

    64.34.110.172 www.plentyoffish.com

(Make sure there is at least 1 Space between the IP Number and the URL)

The above is a typical Lmhosts File. 64.34.110.172 www.plentyoffish.com would be at the Bottom of the File.

Then hit < Enter > on your Keyboard one more Time. The Cursor should then be blinking on the very Bottom Line by itself.

    7.Go to < File > ---> and hit < Save >

If you are creating a new Lmhosts File, then < Save As ...> exactly with this Name:

"Lmhosts" ( ... including the Quotation Marks).

Save the new Lmhosts File to:

    Microsoft Windows 98
    C:\Windows\

    Microsoft Windows 2000
    C:\Winnt\System32\drivers\etc

    Microsoft Windows XP
    C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

    Microsoft Windows Vista
    C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

    Close WordPad or Notepad.

    8.Under Windows 2000/XP, go into your < Control Panel > ...

    < Network > ...

.. on the WINS Tab ...

... and make sure your Enable LMHOSTS lookup Checkbox
    is checked.

Important: Under Windows 98, to use the HOSTS file
for Name Resolution, the Enable DNS option must be selected.
To do this, use the DNS Configuration Tab in TCP/IP
Properties in the Network Option in Control Panel.

    (Host = plentyoffish, Domain = plentyoffish.com)

Same here, happened with TWO seperate accounts (SimplyUnique & DaemonEyes). The system says the usernames are already taken & that the email addresses attached to them can't be registered for another account because there is an account attached to them, yet I can't access *EITHER* account

Go here AS WELL ---> Viewing Profiles goes to Registration Page

and get rid of one profile or both will be removed as per the

My problem is, I found out that somebody got hold of my log-in info and completely changed my profile. So I changed my password but what good did that do. Every time I check my mail, I automatically get the user name and password filled in. All I have to do is click my mouse and I can check my messeges, edit my profile and what ever. So it didn't help to change my password. Still like to know who got my info and screwed up my profile. Gee, ^3 years as a white man living in the USA and now I live in the Virgin Islands and I'm Black. Boy would my MOM be shocked!!!
