We welcome all newcomers.
This is a large POF event and the venue also caters to their regular patrons.
Since starting to host the first event on the North Shore in February 07 we never thought this would turn out to become one of many fishies favorite local dance gatherings. Thanks to the many requests and positive feedback Mosquito Creek dances have now become a monthly event. My words of gratitude to the wonderful co-hosts and all others who volunteered welcoming new and old friends, the excellent service of the staff and owners of the bar and of course all of YOU who ventured out and had fun.
A word of experience shared with anyone who may feel a little shy, intimidated or uncomfortable to come out. Do not let that stop you.
You can bring a friend or invite another FISH, you may know or contact someone who is already signed up and ask if you can join them.
When you arrive at the venue, please look for and approach any one of the hosts (the persons with the name tag, there are also hosts from other events present who will help), please feel free to ask them to introduce you to other Fish.
Please do not worry that many people seem to know each other. It may only appear that way as groups form. All fishies wear glow wrist bands and are easily identifiable and most every one is willing to talk with you when approached.
Should you have any other concerns you may contact any of the hosts.

Just spent a half hour perusing their web site and reading about their history...
these guys ARE a major part of the local music scene...
can't wait to dance the night away to their tunes!!!

Please let myself, Mountain Lion1 or Bigandtalldancer know that this is your first event - when you arrive. If you're by yourself - we'll do our best to introduce you to some other fishies!
Most will be back from vacation - we'll pack the joint. Seems peeps arrive at the events earlier during the fall and winter months so if you arrive late - you could very well be standing all evening

| HEY WHATS UP WITH ALL THE MEN TAKING THEIR TIME?

Does it have anything to do to the fact that women always ask for directions and men don't... until they are really lost! OR... are the men just checking us out first before they can make a commitment... ugh...ugh...i feel like a T-bone steak at Safeway!!!
I'll get over it... thank God there will be some fun women there like Kitskitten....just in case the steak buyers don't show up...lol
