| ~Being a Parent and having a date...~
Posted: 8/27/2007 10:14:48 AM | well, what can i say with only a couple hours sleep?got home about 3:45 from Hospital.. My son (age 26) who stays with me part-time to help, and with his girlfriend in Orange County..) Anyway, i had a date last nite, was at the Movies, my phone was turned down...and (all this time i did NOT know this..) my son was taken by Ambulance to the Hospital, ..(he works part-time at Best Buy, nite-shift and last nite was Inventory-Truck nite, him & a couple other guys unload the Stores' Inventory off the Tractor trailer, and it goes late into the nite..) he had drank Two Large 'Monster' drinks and take a couple of those "Nitro2Go" tablets...he started feeling dizzy, and sweaty & had chest pains,...The E.R. nurse told me he was admitted as "An Accidental Overdose.. He had heart infractions and was hooked up to an EKG Machine, had blood tests, lab work, etc... a got a message on my cell phone from a Nurse in the E.R about 10:45 Last nite....So, what is the point of this? as a Parent, i drove like a maniac to get to the Hospital, (tried not to, as Jason's Dad died a few years ago in a crash) thinking of my childrens' father, having a 'talk' with 'him' so to speak as i was driving....and just so very grateful to my Maker that my son was "ok"....as a PoFer, i just want to let folks know that their ARE decent people 'out there' to 'fish out' and give a chance to...this dear sweet man listened to me on the phone, and wanted me to call him when i made it to the Hospital (an hour away) , and then called me this a.m to see how things were...i did not go to work today, i am with my son who is sleeping, i think about the setbacks & trials he has been through, and i think about myself as a Person, aside from being a Mom, and just want to say thanks to my Fellow Fishies and have a good day..i'm gonna go get some rest now...    | |
