| More dog abuse Posted: 8/27/2007 3:37:59 PM | its funny how people can point fingers at animals and claim they are there worse enemys ... when infact the truth is the owners are the issue . After the Mickael Vick Bust it seems that pitbulls are once again in the sportlight as dangerous , vicious animals , here we have laws where they dogs have to be muzzled and why ? cause of ***holes like Micheal vick and now , more recently the rapper/ actor DMX ... I`ll post the links I have recieved so you can all have a read ... Mickeal Vick has lost his contract in the NFL =] and all his endorcements are running the other way ... it`ll be interesting to see the outcome of these cases

this is all rather upsetting to any animal lover , the way these dogs die or are treated ... is it any wonder they turn on people ? We are the care givers to animals , we take care of them and they in return show us love and loyalty ... it sickening that people have found a deadly way to use mans best friend ... my views are also the same with bull fighting and any other type of animals abuse .... and yet here we are calling ourselves * civilized * ... now that... has to be humour
civ·i·lized (sĭv'ə-līzd') adj. Having a highly developed society and culture
^^^^ does this read what we truely are ?... i dont think so either ... now ima stop here cause this shit does piss me off

Pitt Bulls, Rottweilers and others have gotten a bum rap. It is the owners not the dogs who should be muzzled and put down. I realise that genetics can play a roll in temperment but for the most part their viciousness is a learned behavior not a genetic one IMHO.
I have met many a Pit Bull and Rottie that are nothing but large lapdogs. They were raised by responsible owners who don't underestimate the nature of the beast and have lovingly taught them who the alpha is in the human to canine relationship. My little furball's best friend is a Red American Pitt named Jake. Jake is a gentle as a kittlen with my little guy and I would trust implicetly that he would never lay a tooth on him ot harm him in any way. On the flip side have met a lab or two I would never trust not to make a scooby snack of him.
I like you get sooo pissed at the abuse of animals by uneducated, unthinking, irresponsible fools. Instead of licensing dogs in this country we need to license the owners. It seems to me if people wanting to own what society deems "dangerous" breeds were made to get a license to do so like gun owners or drivers and had to pass a test for ownership it would make a whole hell of alot more sense than condemning the innocent animal.
