Delete old threads [Closed/Redundant]

Ok lets see if maybe the omnipotent creator of pof will consider this.

Instead of having a bunch of rules pertaining to redundant threads, questions and the like.

and then having the deletion of those aforementined threads and such, why not this

All threads in certain forums older than 60 days get automatically deleted, maybe in other forums, (not sure which ones) could survive a bit longer.

I only suggest this as i have tried the search function and it does not seem to like me very much, i try to phase my question in the search several different ways but it seems to come up negative most of the time, then i post the thread, come back a day later ,hmmmm can't find it at all, guess it was deleted.

now I am new to the site maybe a couple of years ago this was tried, i dont know so please don't flame me.

its justa thought.

I think a spring cleaning is overdue. Is "60 days" an example or your true suggestion?

If the old redundant/done to death threads were deleted on a cyclical basis we would have to see them popping up, again and again. Much like this suggestion that has been asked and answered. The answer is the same as it was then. No. Not now, not ever. The forums are archival in nature and they are going to remain that way.
