| Do you even notice a girl's eyebrows? Posted: 9/14/2007 9:03:32 PM | Honestly, of all the time-consuming nit-picky details of grooming we're supposed to worry about to attract men, eyebrows has got to be the most aggravating to me. So I'm just wondering, do you guys even remotely care how much or how little work a girl does on her eyebrows? It so doesn't seem worth the trouble.
Please tell me it's ok to look like Gandalf in that department. :)

The actress Brooke Shields had one of those. And I'd do her.

| Do you even notice a girl's eyebrows? Posted: 9/14/2007 9:14:25 PM | | I like a lush natural brim to someone's eyes. Someone that takes the time to rip their hair out of their face with some regularity to look different could be spending a lot more time perfecting their personality. Mind you I see both sides of the fence. I've had my eyebrows waxed minimally for the last two years, but mostly because I want to look good for work. As a man I tend to grow a lot of hair on my face over short time spans so I want to draw attention to my eyes. | |

| Do you even notice a girl's eyebrows? Posted: 9/14/2007 9:20:01 PM | It might bother some guys, wouldn't be something that would keep me up at night though... Why would you be interested in a guy shallow enough to dub unkempt eyebrows as a deal breaker anyway?
There are, certainly, far more important thing to take into consideration for example intellectual capacity, the sound of her voice and the amount of space between her eyes...
I wouldn't touch Brooke Shields with a ten foot pole, but, that has nothing to do with her eyebrows...

Why would you be interested in a guy shallow enough to dub unkempt eyebrows as a deal breaker anyway? I just thought this was worth repeating.

| Do you even notice a girl's eyebrows? Posted: 9/14/2007 10:49:57 PM | I have thick eyebrows myself and have wondered the very same thing from time to time. I do have them waxed when I can, but thats something I do for me. I used to get made fun of...if anyone gives me any crap about it now...I tell them they're my pet caterpillars Fred and Wilma | |

Just think of people like Whoopi Goldburg, no eyebrows, to Sharon Stone, most powerful and striking.

Posted: 9/14/2007 11:44:39 PM | | Somewhere recently I read that women's eyebrows thin as they get older, so instinctually, men should be attracted to thicker eyebrows, as that would be a sign of youth. Maybe you should be pasting on some extra hair instead of plucking them.

| Do you even notice a girl's eyebrows? Posted: 9/15/2007 12:31:32 AM | Yes and no.
It varies from face to face.
I DO notice though, I'm most attracted to those with "thin" youthful looking eyebrows that are shaped correctly, and you can't tell that they were done. I think that's the key. It has to look natural, and so many that work on their eyebrows don't get it. They want to look like they did work on them.
Eyebrows are not like nails, where you know that they're done. Eyebrows are not like lipstick, where you know that it's there. Eyebrows are more like makeup, where it looks best when it doesn't look like you're wearing any at all.
I can't stand overly plucked where it's so thin, you KNOW it's plucked and consists of 3 hairs wide. Let's not get into drawn in ones. Let's not get into unibrows.
Natural is best, and if you must do work, have it at least look natural and no one could tell.

| Do you even notice a girl's eyebrows? Posted: 9/15/2007 12:53:04 AM | | Oh yes that is one of THE MOST important things. Some women pluck them all out and then use makeup to make them look shaped. Some women have it done professionally. Have it done by a pro if you're not blessed with shapley eyebrows, unless you can make it look reasonably good. On the other hand, it doesn't matter much unless I have to look at you everyday then I want them to look good. | |

| Do you even notice a girl's eyebrows? Posted: 9/15/2007 1:43:01 AM | | I guess its something you just don't ever notice, unless its not there. Or there is just the one...lol But I've never met a woman and thought to myself, "Wow, what great eyebrows!" | |

now that is funny, i don't like to toot my own horn, but i don't care who you are, that's funny!!

| Do you even notice a girl's eyebrows? Posted: 9/16/2007 2:46:29 PM | | I actually take notice of a woman's eyebrows and the way some women do theirs can be quite appealing. But each to their own. I think it makes more of a sexual appeal in my eyes. | |

| Do you even notice a girl's eyebrows? Posted: 9/16/2007 2:51:01 PM | OP
To be honest, yes I do notice a womans eyebrows. It may seem like some men don't notice, but when a woman has very bushy kept eyebrows it is not attractive. When a woman takes that extra time to make sure her eyebrows are nice and even, it gives her a extra feminine and refined look to her face. Those nit-picky details is what sets some women apart and makes them stand out from the rest.

| Do you even notice a girl's eyebrows? Posted: 9/16/2007 3:04:55 PM | | Hmm never thought about that before lol. Im sure a unibrow i would notice but not a big deal. Hmm and now the movie im watching i just looked at the girls eyebrows lol. | |

| Do you even notice a girl's eyebrows? Posted: 9/16/2007 3:38:47 PM | | I find it VERY frightening when I see a woman who has completely shaved off her eyebrows only to draw them back on with a make-up eyebrow pencil. Something about that whole thing has always baffled me. | |
|
| Do you even notice a girl's eyebrows? Posted: 9/16/2007 3:42:03 PM | I don't notice a girl's eyebrows, when they suit her face. They fit in. I notice if she has a unibrow, like a throwback to the Dinosaur Age, or if they look very thick compared to her hair, or if they look extremely thin compared to her hair. I noticed the girls on Heroes have thin and thick eyebrows, but they suit the girls, and none of them have pencil lines. Maybe just trim it?
Also, no-one looks OK like Gandalf but Gandalf, not even a guy, in my opinion.

| Do you even notice a girl's eyebrows? Posted: 9/16/2007 3:43:40 PM | | I can't say I've ever notice eyebrows. Unless there was something weird going on there. I suppose they should look like they belong with the rest of the face, whatever that means. | |
