There were lots of emails flying around POF, with people asking each other if they knew what was happening. I suppose if there were no forums to post on, we all had to keep our fingers busy by typing emails to one another

Posted: 9/16/2007 2:20:39 PM | I also had no access to the forums Saturday & Sunday through either the local forums, general forums or my own & other forum submissions on their profile. Then I attempted to email the helpdesk but I couldn't do that either. Since there was nothing posted on POF about the difficulties I assumed something was wrong with my connection. Since it appears that some people were informed of the problem but most were not ... perhaps in the future it would be a good idea to post a message explaining that "some eratic problems are occuring and asking members to please bear with us until we have corrected the problems" so POFr's don't suspect the problem is on their end.

Anyways thanks a million for all your hard work to keep this site running so well....it IS much appreciated trust me, and this site rocks...the forums adds the perfect touch to this all around excellent site and makes us want to come back for more....dammit I am SO addicted to this place it isn't even funny anymore.... I didn't even know what to do with myself for the last of couples of days and it almost felt like I'd just lost my best friend that's how much I missed this place...hey you get used to seeing the same people everyday and seeing their point of view on different things and after a while they almost start to feel like friends ...well some feel more like an annoying family member but that's okay too because I ended up missing them all...I can't wait to go see them all!!!
Yeah I know....I have no life....but oh well, at least I have this ...thanks a million my friend!

EDIT: I can still barely use the the forums as the site is just too slow....is that to be expected for the next little while? Just wondering if others are having the same problem...

Posted: 1/21/2008 12:07:13 PM | I had to create this dupe account in order to get a message to admin - it will be deleted once the trouble is solved.
I can't login to forums. I can log in to message/mail fine. When logging in to forums, the login and password fields go blank as soon as I hit enter. My regular account where this is occuring is chris_kc.
To the best of my knowledge, I haven't violated any forum rules or received any moderator warnings. In fact, I haven't had a forum post in some time!
