Ok, my first bit of advice would be do a thread search before posting new topics, things like why do nice guys finish last, and looks or personality, have been to death!

^^^^^ yep follow the advice of our esteemed friend above. It would have been my advice too - it helps if you can read the rules which are at the top of the UK Forum section.

EDIT: VVVV certainly not a team leader but your thread was about advice so I thought I would suggest the reading of the rules so you will not be so upset if your other threads were to be deleted either by member plebiscite or by the Mods. this morning my next door neighbour who smells of cats and shouts at the moon told me to put my cash into the robert maxwell pension fund.......so this afternoon i did!

I'm pretty good at listening to advise but always make my own mind up in the end and don't blame people if I have chosen to head their advise to my detriment, at the end of the day the final choice was mine | |

Posted: 9/19/2007 12:47:40 AM | Advice should be what we us to mould our actions not to govern them, it's always sensible to listen to what is said and even better still to listen to the explanation at how they reach that point of view, sadly the person giving it can't fully appreciate your history and feelings so they can't give 100% accurate advice, thats where you put the finishing touches to the point of view, then accept responsibility for your action.
As for me personally I'm all male, never listen to whats being said or so people think. | |

Posted: 9/19/2007 4:14:55 AM | I have learned to seek out advice when in trouble or conflict in my life. Do I always take the advice given, no...I weigh out what is happening to what advice is given and go from there...but I don't just ask one person I will ask a few.
I am also very strong willed and like to do what I want to do so I don't like when people give me unsolicited advice, then mmm 9 times out of 10 it is ignored even if it may have been great advice!

by the way msg 19 as a matter of interest both spellings are correct and acceptable, spelled is the definitive way of spelling the word as can be confirmed by both the Oxford and Cambridege dictionaries, but a lot of people use spelt, this was added in the last 20 years as is usual with misspelled words which by osmosis somehow become accepted into the English language. | |
