| this girl likes me but has a boyfriend Posted: 9/20/2007 8:27:27 AM | | im in a sticky situation and really dont know what to do about it. ive known this girl for a very long time and recently she told me shes had and still has the biggest crush on me. which i didnt see the clues for a very long time untill now the problem is she has a boyfriend. she doesnt know how she feels about dating him cause there is times she doesnt want to be with him and there is other times that she does. well a couple of days a go i decided to tell her how i felt about her. i told her that i really liked her and all. the problem also is that even though she has a boyfriend she really doesnt know what to do and neither do i. do i stick around and wait to see if and only if they break up or do i just move on and not wait? im really confused ive asked my closest friends and they dont even know what to do in this situation | |

Best bet in my mind is to steer clear of it all,do you really need the drama.....Or..Just wait till she has been single for a few months before you go sniffin around..

"You" should not be the deciding factor in whether or not she stays with her current guy. If the relationship is really doomed, then it will eventually end naturally. If it doesn't, then she either doesn't have what it takes to be honest with her feelings, or is actually satisfied with the status quo.
If she's going to break things off, then it should be for the right reasons and not drag a mountain of baggage with her into a potential new relationship down the line.

| this girl likes me but has a boyfriend Posted: 9/20/2007 8:53:15 AM | | I doubt you’ll take my advice but here goes anyway. Walk away. If she doesn’t know how she feels about dating him then let HER figure it out. Don’t put yourself in the middle of her indecision. You’ve already spilled your guts; don’t make it any worse by hanging around acting like a puppy. She knows how to find you if her situation changes. | |

| this girl likes me but has a boyfriend Posted: 9/20/2007 9:03:27 AM | | I agree with these posters. Let her know you're not going to be "the other guy" by walking away. Let the relationship end naturally, without you being involved. It's the only way you might have a healthy relationship with her in the future. It doesn't mean you have to date other women. Just do your thing and hangout with your friends /family for a few months. Let her go, if she comes to you, single, she's yours. If she doesn't, she's his. | |

| this girl likes me but has a boyfriend Posted: 9/20/2007 9:14:13 AM | Tell her to give you a call once she gets rid of the boyfriend.
All this "she doesn't know how she feels" crap is ridiculous. Tell her to call you once she knows "how she feels."
|
| this girl likes me but has a boyfriend Posted: 9/20/2007 9:27:39 AM | First you need to decide what it is you want, are you willing to wait around for her to make up her mind? Think carefully about that, you could be getting yourself in the middle of something you may later regret.
Personally I would cut off the relationship and move on if she is not interested in ending it with her boyfriend. Who knows how long she may be confused and really it doesn't sound like she is taking the steps to try and figure it out.
Best wishes | |

| this girl likes me but has a boyfriend Posted: 9/20/2007 9:48:04 AM | If you wanna be the back-burner guy, go for it.
Otherwise, she's in a relationship. It's her decision. And when she ditches her boyfriend for you, you'll be the rebound guy. And that's never good.
This is way too much drama for me today
|
| this girl likes me but has a boyfriend Posted: 9/20/2007 10:04:39 AM | .. if she ends up cheating on her current boyfriend with you, because she likes you, somewhere down the road somebody else will come along that she likes and she will cheat on you with him. That's what cheaters do in many cases. If they will cheat with you, they will cheat on you. ...tell her if she wants to check things out to see what's what with you.. then she needs to be single first. Then a little time to let the sheets cool down might be a good idea too. Otherwise you are the rebound guy, or worse yet.. the guy she gave up whatshisname for, if it doesn't work out netween the two of you.
Extreme drama either way.

| this girl likes me but has a boyfriend Posted: 9/20/2007 10:12:03 AM | | you are not a friend if you do not tell her that you have some specail in your life, so stay with him our time has past and we can ONLY BE FRIENDS and nothing else. if she is doing this to her boyfriend now and just think what she would do to you in a few months, if someone else came around that she felt the same way for. | |
|
| this girl likes me but has a boyfriend Posted: 9/20/2007 12:26:42 PM | | BLOW HER OFF IMMEDIATELY!!! Once a cheater, always a cheater! Whether you and her have done anything with each-other or not, she has already been unfaithful to her boyfriend by just "searching the field" and corresponding with you. She is obviously searching for "greener pastures" and women like that are NEVER satisfied! They are always looking for a better deal and cannot be trusted one iota. Take it from experience my friend, run like the wind! | |

Girls like that are like the flames the moth flies into (then gets burned). Don't go out or even consider this girl.
|
| this girl likes me but has a boyfriend Posted: 9/20/2007 11:28:19 PM | | Don't even think about dating this girl. If you want to hit it and quit it, that's fine, just make sure she knows that. Either way, just move on and most importantly, do not get emotionally involved with this chick. | |

| this girl likes me but has a boyfriend Posted: 1/4/2008 8:40:01 AM | | Can we say "manage a trios?" Ha, just kidding, but seriously, she's not into you, she's into the love triangle. Sorry! On the real, DROP HER LIKE SHE'S HOT and fish somewhere else. | |

So give her an incentive to make a choice. Start dating other girls. That way, she has to choose, because if she stays undecided, you might end up in love with someone else, and then she's stuck where she is.
|
| this girl likes me but has a boyfriend Posted: 1/4/2008 6:32:16 PM | | OP, if she'll cheat on him, she'll cheat on YOU. Steer clear until they break up and then give her some time to get over it. You don't want to be "rebound boy". | |
|
| this girl likes me but has a boyfriend Posted: 1/4/2008 6:37:33 PM | I was in that situation before. I had a girl interested in me who already had a BF... She told me she had a crush on me, she left him for me.. and the relationship ended the same way it started : she liked another guy when she was in a LTR with me.
If she doesn't respect the person shes with before you, how do you expect her to respect you?

These games are okay when you're 15. It's time to be a man now, and that doesn't include playing kids games.

hey ain't those teeny weeny boppers funnier that hell with their so called love problems The OP is a young man (22), he is not a teen ager. His problem is very real to him, just as your problems are very real to you...would you want someone making in fun of you???
OP: You have been given some good, sound advice here...it is now up to you what you do with it. Good luck.

| this girl likes me but has a boyfriend Posted: 1/4/2008 7:13:39 PM | If she has a boyfriend then she is off limits. Its as simple as that.
A) If it were your girlfriend, how would you want her to behave? B) How would you want another man to behave towards you in this same situation? C) Why would you want to cause another man pain? D) Why would you want a woman who would put you or her in that position? E) If she's willing to jump from him to you, what will she do with you? F) Why would you jepordize your own integrity for anyone?
If she was involved you were wrong to say anything to her. Back off and let them work out their own relationship. Live your life, if things end between them and she's emotionally whole enough and your involvement would not cause pain to the other guy then go for it.

| this girl likes me but has a boyfriend Posted: 1/5/2008 5:03:18 AM | From post 23:
"If she has a boyfriend then she is off limits. Its as simple as that." Says who? When did that rule become "law"? Is she ain't married or at least living together with the guy, she is fair game for you to try/ask her! Nobody owns anybody else.
"A) If it were your girlfriend, how would you want her to behave?" Follow her heart and if she chose another man to at least have the decency to tell me/break off with me. But to follow her heart!
"B) How would you want another man to behave towards you in this same situation?" Unless he is a friend, I have no specific expectations from other men. It is her choice if she goes for him, she is my GF, he is no one to me.
"C) Why would you want to cause another man pain?" If she goes for me, it means that the rel was doomed to begin with, so ... And if he really wanted her THAT WAY, he should have moved in with her. We men are used to dealing with pain, and move on. And why should he feel pain? She does not belong to him.
"D) Why would you want a woman who would put you or her in that position?" Because that is how Eros works and always did.
"E) If she's willing to jump from him to you, what will she do with you?" That is how Eros works, if one cannot stand the heat, one should stay out of the kitchen - stay celibate (or get married)
"F) Why would you jepordize your own integrity for anyone?" She is not married or living with him, is she? Where is the integrity in possessiveness? Should I not claim/take someone else's client or a company another company's market share? It is called freedom of choice and no one is forcing anyone else to do something, we are all adults (and capitalists) here!

| this girl likes me but has a boyfriend Posted: 1/5/2008 7:48:21 AM | | I'd tell her how you feel, then space yourself from the situation. Let her do what she's going to do, and stay out of it till that happens. Sounds lame, but if it's meant to be it will happen. | |
