| new tv shows this fall Posted: 9/21/2007 12:51:54 PM | That remake they're doing of Doogie Housier M.D. looks pretty good.
I heard they've got Paulie(buudddiiee) Shore for the lead role ,it looks great.
All my best to the sweetest chicken (Sally) I never met .cwolfy6669.

| new tv shows this fall Posted: 9/21/2007 7:35:41 PM | Paulie Shore playing Doogie Howser? OMFG!!!!! THAT ought to be a good one! I can't see anything that even looks remotely good in the line up. I watched that KidNation for about 6 minutes and thanked my lucky stars that there was a commercial or 4 included in that six!. I have to take a peek at the new Bionic Woman to see how badly they are going to trash the original. ( Long live Steve Austin and Jamie Sommers LOL)
I'll hold out til Feb for LOST to return.

| new tv shows this fall Posted: 10/3/2009 4:05:37 PM | 2 years later now:
did anyone catch the first couple shows of FlashForward? I think I'm going to keep my eye on this one for a little while.
|
| new tv shows this fall Posted: 10/3/2009 4:41:19 PM | ^^^ I caught the pilot episode of "Flash Forward", was hopeful that it was a good series, started watching the second episode but lost interest.
I watched the pilot episodes of "In the Middle" with Patricia Heaton and "Hank" with Kelsey Grammer and was disappointed with both.
I caught the opener of "Eastwick"... won't watch that again. Seems they are trying to cash in on the popularity of "Medium" and "Ghost Whisperer".
"Cougars" might be fun though.
I saw some previews for "V" and remember there used to be a sci-fi series (aliens disguising themselves in their quest to take over Earth) with that name about 20+ years ago. I can't remember the name of the sexy actress who played a alien leader, but think her character's name was "Dianna". Perhaps this new series will be based on a similar premise. I hope to check it out.
I limit how much TV I watch, so new shows have to compete for my favs of "Two and a Half Men", "CSI", "CSI New York" and "House".
======= EDIT Correction, I meant "Cougar Town", not "Cougars" Thanks Gloomygus.

when I saw the second one I thought "aren't they maybe moving along too fast here in figuring stuff out?" So I dunno. That's why i say "for a little while"....not sure if they can keep it up, or how long they can search for this mysterious guy who's awake in the baseball stands without it getting reeeeaaaally draggy. And what happens when they meet that 6 month future time, are they going to stretch it out into 4 years? That will just get boring. But i hope the writers have some tricks up their sleeves because it's an interesting idea. (never read the book it's based on).

| new tv shows this fall Posted: 10/3/2009 7:44:09 PM | The tv show Frasier is my absolute favorite ever made (with Arrested Development sitting comfortably at #2), so of course since the announcement of Kelsey Grammer's "Hank", I've been waiting.
Unfortunately, I had little hopes for Hank after watching it. I really really really want it to be funny, but I knew it was going to be. Then I saw the pilot and my fears were confirmed. It simply tried too hard - every line was met with a fairly long moment of canned laughter. It stuck to old and tired jokes, seemingly scared to offend anybody. It's my hope that the pilot was just trying too hard and that the rest of the season will normalise.
I've been watching Modern Family and Community, new this season. They've turned out to be pretty good so far. I'll keep watching them for now.
The jewel for me this season? Shark Tank. Supposedly based off Canada's Dragon Den, it's reality TV, but I find it really interesting. There's a lot of economics to it, so I guess that's the appeal to me.
|
| new tv shows this fall Posted: 10/4/2009 7:26:44 AM | | I like Modern Family, too. I really liked the father in Kelsey Grammar's last attempt so was delighted that he's in a new show. Shark Tank is ok, but I think Dragon's Den is the better offering. I'm still hooked on How I Met Your Mother and Big Bang Theory - nothing this year is as good. I plan to watch Eastwick just so I can gaze at Paul Gross LOL. | |
|
| new tv shows this fall Posted: 10/4/2009 8:06:05 AM | ^ I nearly peed myself watching Modern Family! And Glee is musical and quirky, so I may continue to watch that.
I found both Cougar Town and The Good Wife disappointing, and the eye candy in Eastwick and the new Melrose Place may not be enough to keep me coming back. ( I can't believe I've actually watched this much television!)
I may just stick with what I already know and love .. Grey's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives and Brothers and Sisters, Turner Classics and the Food Nework.
|
| new tv shows this fall Posted: 10/4/2009 10:11:31 AM | Frankly there is a lack of imagination on the networks.
Rescue me, Weeds, and Saving Grace, all a little closer to what is real today without being classified as a reality show.
|
| new tv shows this fall Posted: 10/4/2009 10:34:18 AM | It's not a new show this season, but I just started to watch The Mentalist. He's funny but his counterpart seems strange. I haven't figured out if that's her charater or just her.
I found the Good Wife boring. Although my sisters are raving. Who knows?

I was previewing the schedule and see that the details for "V" have been made available. Nov. 3rd on the ABC network.
"Pilot" (presumably the title of the first episode) Massive spaceships hover Earth's major cities to enable Anna, the leader of an alien race know as "the Visitors", to deliver a message of peace in the pilot that kicks off this reimagining of the 1980's sci-fi series.
This might be interesting, if you like sci-fi.

| new tv shows this fall Posted: 10/22/2009 11:48:43 AM | I can't help but wonder if the new "V" will be any good without Marc Singer...sigh | |
|
| new tv shows this fall Posted: 10/23/2009 3:14:39 AM | The Good Wife -- On Global
Lie To Me ---- on Global
Both amazing good shows ...I am hooked
|
| new tv shows this fall Posted: 11/3/2009 11:41:45 PM | I watched the pilot episode of "V" that was broadcast tonight.
The producers have done a fair job with it. Good special effects and CGI; looks great in Hi-Def.
Of course the plot is familiar for I watched the original series some 25 years ago, but it beats some of the other new shows launched this year.
I've also watched "The Good Wife". Yep, a good drama series. Only these two newcomers that will get any of my time.
However both pale in comparison to "Two and a Half Men", the best series going. Last night's episode was hilarious. The writers must have a really good time coming up with those lines.
|
| new tv shows this fall Posted: 11/4/2009 12:36:39 AM | Watched V too. I'll give it two more episodes too see if it hooks me. I'd be surprised if Modern Family doesnt win some awards. Best new comedy series imo. | |

| new tv shows this fall Posted: 11/4/2009 10:32:22 AM | Saw a trailer for a show being shown on Saturday that looks good but don't know if it is a series or not. I remember the guys saying you can't kill me you have already killed me or something like that.
I have put V on my series recording so I will see how that turns out.
I am now watching Heroes and Fringe
