| | Request new feature for report violation threadPage 1 of 1 | | Request for putting a limit on the amount of times a person can report violations. Similar to the 10/2 limits put on some of the other threads. Been noticing same person reporting at LEAST 8-10 times within a 24 hour period. For reasons of quality control & possible abuse /misuse. | |

| Request new feature for report violation thread Posted: 9/28/2007 11:07:29 AM | Also would be good if someone received a warning before being deleted and a few days to find out what is wrong and amend your profile. I was once deleted for no apparent reason and it was a real pain re writing my profile again from scratch!!
Thanks

| Request new feature for report violation thread Posted: 9/28/2007 11:35:54 AM | | This has already been addressed. Mods do not keep track of deleted posts or threads & exact reasons for why being removed. They are volunteers & only have so much time. I believe in the FAQ somewhere. | |

| Request new feature for report violation thread Posted: 9/28/2007 12:04:27 PM | Request for putting a limit on the amount of times a person can report violations. Negative. The more Reports, the better.
Similar to the 10/2 limits put on some of the other threads. There are no Similarities. That is a Posting Matter, not a Reporting Issue. The 10/2 Limits were designed to curb Forum Spam
Been noticing same person reporting at LEAST 8-10 times within a 24 hour period. Most Excellent. Best Way to keep the Forums On-Track.
For reasons of quality control & possible abuse /misuse. There is no "Misuse" or "Abuse" if the Reports are accurate and true.
If a Poster continuously files "False Reports", we first try to determine if that Poster is willful or not, meaning are there undelying Motives for these erronous Reports such as trivial Soap Opera, Mischief, Vengeance, or other Agenda, or doesn't the Poster simply understand the Rules or isn't he dealing with a full Deck.
 | Depending on what is found to be the Case, we refer him to the Site and Forum Rules, sometimes sorting Things out with him if he seems confused, in other Instances issue Warnings or specific "Non-Posting" or "Non-Communication" Orders, and on some Occasions, apply a Posting Ban. |
