Ok, here we go again, Saturday nights are back to normal lol.

Just watched the 1st bootcamp show, brill tv, twists & turns all the way & Simon just gets better & better for me although tis nice to see a bit of "talent" with Danni this year.

Who else is addicted to XF?

Anyone got any comments on the final 6 or those who didn't make it tonight?

I thought CK & The Wedding Singer should both have gone through in the "wrinklies" category, shows how much I know about singing lol.

I did miss it tonight, but shall be tuning in every week from here on in.

So I cant comment, but I think I can catch up tomorrow on some channel or other. But I love it.

I can remember Leona lewis last year winning, and what a brilliant talent she is.

Still awaiting her new album with great anticipation.

Can they bring someone as talented as her to the fore this year, lets hope so, as that will be two albums I'll be awaiting.

well i had it on in the background but i didn't really pay much attention to it, and to be honest i'd rather have an anal probe with a large cactus than have to endure it every week.

to me a real musical talent contest would be to tour the countries student union bars where real talent is to be found.

but i have to admit danni minogue keeps me peeping

The best thing about this show is the auditions, theyr'e soooo funny, after that i can't be bothered watching it and already know that whoever wins it will be the christmas number1 and then never heard of again for the next 12months+.

They should re-name it The Crying Game...I watched about 15 minutes of it and all I saw was men, women, boys and girls all bawling their eyes out every 10 seconds....what the f's all that about. Im all for people showing their emotions and not bottling them up but they're taking it to extremes. Can you imagine them in every day life...'oh no the milkmans left me full cream instead of semi...Im going to cry'.....

As for any oustanding talent this year, from what I can see looks like they've drawn a blank, no one really stands out and shines.

Louis Walsh rocks, they wanted him back, and in fact begged him to come back, because he brings great talent to the show.

May he serve Simon Cowell for long to come.

I am also addicted to X factor its great entertainment especially the auditions which are hilarious. Like someone pointed out though the winner has a number one single and then you very rarely hear from them again. I think the only one that we still hear something of is Will Young who I thought had a great voice and has lasted the distance.

Trish it is repeated on ITV not sure what the equivalent of that is in England but its on a sunday afternoon cant remember what time at. I watch it if ive missed it on the saturday.

I also agree with tactile guy who said that they thought the wedding singer should have stayed in. I thought he was a bit cheesy but had a good voice and think he could have done well. Maybe its a good job im not a judge lol.

I also think it was very rude of Louis to tell the over 25's that he deff didnt want to get that category. Talk about instilling them with confidence ffs that was a bloody stupid thing to tell them whether it was true or not!

X factor and all the things like that are not about the 'talent' that is supposedly being brought through for us to 'enjoy'. It's all about the over inflated ego's of the judges...and the thought of the millions they're going to make from the poor deranged saps who THINK they're different from every other naff pop group/ singer. When in reality they're just another pocket lining gimic, for the puppet or should that be muppet masters of pop dross that infect peoples earsdrums on a daily basis

Each to there own though and i'm not critising people for watching such over-rated, cheap to make television.

Oh sorry it would be cheap to make if rip off merchants Cowell and the other geeza weren't lining their pockets so much.

Just my opinion

I love it even though I know it's fabricated. I think the whole 'bring back Louis Walsh' affair was a set up, as is most of the infighting. And the judges couldn't possibly see everyone who turns up, nor could everyone be filmed. So the best and the worst are wheeled out for our entertainment. And these people put themselves out there, so why not?
I think it just shows how many truly self deluded people there are out there, but also ones with genuine talent just needing that break. Shows like this do actually find real talent. Even those that don't sustain stardom will go on, in some cases, to make very comfortable livings.
This year though, I haven't spotted anyone who stands out from the crowd.
Ps the money that these shows make is more from the viewer voting and the advertising revenue than from show winners.

Im hooked but also disappointed how on earth that foreign guy( cant remember his name but he cant sing) got through to next stage is a joke . they sent home half decent singers ie wedding singer and let this joke through. Im also disappointed that 90% of the finalists have had their sob stories aired on tv its a talent show not a sympathy vote. anyway I will still be sad enough to be glued to my tv every sat night cos I think Sharon is fabulous

Do not edit the opening post to direct comments at other posters.

I didn't!

If the mod who made this comment cared to read my edit it was aimed at the audience in general who had voted to delete this thread for "obvious reasons". Care to state what was an "obvious reasons" for deletion & I will agree quite happily. I did my research prior to posting this thread & whilst there were other related posts back in 2005 & 2006 there were none specifically aimed at the 2007 show hence my original statement asking that the thread not be voted for deletion due to it being "redundant", yes I bothered to read the rules before I posted.

Rant over!

Let's get back on track now. I think Lou is ok, just ok & not the best judge however I love it when he & Simon "bounce" off each other, it helps make the show. I understand the comments re it being "staged" but isn't all tv these days? XF is so much better than Big Brother for me because it's an hour or 2 a week, not 24/7 which I think has led to the demise of BB in the UK.

Who the ecky thump is that joke they have put through in the older section???? Hes a Chico style wanna be that has taken the place of a fair singer with talent.....
X Factor is all staged hype and showdowns...a load of cods wallop!!!! Some of the entries really think they have talent, i don't know about reality TV but they need a dose of REALITY!!!!!!!!

I ain't sucking up them sob stories either......"I'm doing this for my dead father"....??? Get a grip woman...your doing this for the fame and hopefully the money isn't that the bottom line of the reason?

The only good bit about x-factor is all the contestants are rubbish wannabes who most are delusional that they can actually sing,ha,ha an makes great viewing watching the numptys make a fool of themselves.

I think he got put through to the cost of better singers, however, there was disagreement amongst the judges and I think he went through more on the entertainment factor which wasn't obvious to the viewing public (certainly not me). Lets not forget that neither Robbie Williams, or Madonna are the best singers but they certainly have the "x-factor" in the entertainment stakes.

That aside, the likelihood of him getting through to the live finals is remote given that Louis is his mentor.

And I think Louis' comment to his group were edited to make him look ruder than he probably was. And why should he pretend that it was the group he wanted - the industry is tough and they will get info about themselves they don't want to hear. Now that he's got them, I don't think he will deliberately undersell them. Not forgetting that Simon thinks the winner is in the Over 25s

I think Sharon dealing with Rhidian in her group would have been interesting. But if he gets through to the live finals she'll wipe the floor with him.

Ok here's my thoughts after tonights show:

Girls:- Sharon got it spot on, the right 3 for sure.

Boys:- Danni should have chosen Dom instead of Rid, much better bet as the X Factor.

Groups:- Simon gets it wrong yet again. What's the matter with the 3 London boys? Ok they messed up 1 line, stopped & started again then the harmony was outstanding. He even had chance to redeem himself after CC was booted out but stuck with the girls.

Overs:- For once Louis gets it right!

Favs: Emily, Andy, Bev, Same Difference & my personal choice at this stage is Bev to win.

Over to you, what's your view?

Which one was Andy, watched every week and still cant figure out their names. Is he the young one who wants to make his mums life better.

Daniel to win, not only has he lost his parents, is a single dad, fairly good singer, he is drop dead gorgeous, brightens up Saturday TV at the minute anyway
