I'm pretty new to this site. Although I havn't really filled out a good profile and I'm not George Clooney, I've yet to receive one response to any of the emails that I've sent. I don't really think that I'm that frightening. I wonder if this thing is screwed up somehow. Could somebody please send me an email just to be sure it's working. Thanks.

With your messaging restrictions, I doubt there are any forums regs who can oblige you.

I would say there's no problem with your fishmail, but (No offense,) if your messages are on par with your profile, that would explain your lack of responses.

For what it's worth, check out these threads for good profile writing advice and ideas;

You can then put your profile up for review in the Profile Reviews Forum,

...for feedback and fine-tuning.

Hope this helps.

Good Luck.

Sure. You have to put me on your favorites list to allow the test and then you can remove me.

You can also just send a mail to me and that will also allow me to send back. Simple computer test.

Thank you for your suggestions. I don't understand what you mean about my messaging restrictions though. I have looked all over my profile and it would seem to me that I have almost no restrictions. If there is something I don't understand about this please let me know. Is this thing that complicated? I am working on the rest of your suggestions and am rewriting my profile.

I put you on my favorites list as you suggested. I would appreciate some mail just to see if I'm receiving. Is this thing really this complicated?
Thanks.

I don't understand what you mean about my messaging restrictions though.

When you have completed your Setting Changes, hit

Live within 75 miles.

In your Mail Settings, get rid of the 75 Mile Limit Restriction, and set it to the maximum Distance, minimally for the Time being to eliminate the first potential Factor that could be the Reason for no E-Mails.

That probably limits more E-Mails than anything else.

Further, you should send out E-Mails to get Replies.

Since any Restrictions would be waved aside on < Reply > E-Mails from other Users, all Mail Settings Curbs and Constraints would no longer apply.

I would appreciate some mail just to see if I'm receiving.

Done, tested, went through ...

Make sure your Postal Code is correct. Failing that, vary your Postal Code to another nearby one.
