Posted: 10/5/2007 11:46:06 AM | Glasses are a number one turn on for me. Glasses and a pretty smile will do it every time.
If I find out they're wearing them JUST for cosmetic reasons, it's kind of a turn off. I don't like someone who's that into their outward appearance that they have to "fake it."
But yeah, I'm not sure if I'm in the majority or minority but I love glasses. There's a certain cute smart geek appeal there, I guess. Shallow? Probably. But there's also that moment, when you get close, and reach in and take her glassess OFF... now that's a nice moment. You know if she lets you, that the kiss is coming up... and if you get "what the hell are you doing?" you're out of luck! | |

Posted: 10/5/2007 12:49:41 PM | Depends on how they are worn. In general, I am glasses nuetral - having worn them myself for many years I sympathize with the near-blind.
If a woman owns her look, then glasses can be sexy indeed.
However; I am instantly turned off by women with glasses that magnify their eyes when you look at them - reminds me of my mother and sister. | |

Sunglasses on Women? YES YES YES...She looks like she has gone out and is going to take over the world and catch me for dinner..hehehe...
Sunglasses on males?? I find them a threat to me, as they are hiding their eyes and may try to take me on in some way. I wear sunglasses myself, and love them, but if i get stared at above a glance i know to not have a fixed stare because i know others cannot know if i'm showing friendliness or bad temperment. But on women it looks so sexy, i adore to wonder...Earl | |

Absolutely not an automatic turn off. The neatly groomed secretarial look is unbelievably hot. But as with all things, it depends on the glasses. Some glasses look great and others don't. They have to match the face.
Don't be depressed if you have to wear glasses. It's just an opportunity for another accessory to increase your hotness.  | |

Posted: 10/5/2007 2:41:29 PM | When I found out that I needed glasses a few years ago, I was a tad upset simply because I felt it was a sign of getting old. Then I thought, "Ahhh new accessories!" & couldn't wait to go frame shopping!
Then last year I had this old commercial going through my head... the one where the gal was asking, "Do men make passes at women who wear glasses?" Well, yes they do!
I heart my glasses.  And I heart men who love women in glasses.

Posted: 10/5/2007 2:51:03 PM | Love them. Or rather I love today's styles and previous styles. I think glasses got a bad wrap because there were some truly hideous styles in the late fifties, and then again in the eighties (the eighties appeared to be wall to wall horror show frames, just giant, silly, horrific coke bottle sized frames that looked brutal. When you look back at the movies and see the glasses that people were sporting it was brutal) which was truly an awful time to need spectacles (sort of the opposite end of Costanza's Bald Man's Paradise (1900-1950 America when class hats were de riguere). Anyway, I'm rambling, but suffice it to say, I love the frames that most women sport today :).
Oh and btw Dharma above me, and Crazycurls who also posts have nice examples of the sort of frames I just love. :) | |

Posted: 10/5/2007 7:10:20 PM | Both are good. I had a friend who had these funky buddy holly kinda glasses. She went to contacts and I think she looked better with the glasses. She just had a LOOK if that means anything.
Both are good if they suit the person.
