I have sent out a lot of emails trying to atleast get a reply. Not even a get lost. Oh I forget I did get one of those. But at least she replyed. Can someone help me? | |

Posted: 11/1/2007 9:33:32 AM | Ignore the guy that replied before. You don't necessarily have to be a model or anything, but the picture you have probably isn't the best type to have up. You have a shadow over your face and you have sunglasses on. I can't tell what you look like at all! Try to put up something that actually shows your face ^_^.
When looking at profile, I pay close attention to reoccurring themes. How much are they talking about what they have to offer vs what they are looking for? Do they keep mentioning the word "honesty" over and over and over again? How positive or negative is their profile? Etc etc. Punctuation, grammar and spelling are pretty important as well. You don't want people who are viewing your profile to get so frustrated with the editing mistakes that they just stop reading. I know I've done that with a few profiles. Well, I hope this helps! And aren't most of the people on this site over the age of 25 or so? There are plenty of 30-somethings on this site. It's online dating, you are basically advertising yourself and giving your intended audience a reason to be interested enough to click on your profile and send you a message, so you need a profile that best represents who you are so you get the response you want. | |

I'm hoping that since October you've received some responses that have worked for you. You sound like a nice person. You're profile was well written. If I were younger, and lived closer to you, I would have responded, but that's not the case.
Keep trying. I know it's difficult to be patient. I keep telling myself the old saying..."All good things come to those who wait". The bad part is that we have to usually wait a lot longer than we want.

Here is what I've learned. Most people do not appear as their photo displays. Don't waste your time if they are separated and/or still living with their significant other. And finally, if they never invite you to their home... they are probably in a relationship or married. Most importantly of all, don't lower your standards of what you will accept in a relationship.
