My reasons that it would be a good idea are:
1)Safety in numbers
2)Enjoying a mutual sport.
3) Group atmosphere.
4)relaxed setting

I went out on a golf date... we had a lot of fun because it wasn't a compettitve thing, We laughed at ourselves and each other the entire time. The only suggestion I have is to not show up your date. Do your best to keep the score as close as possible... I'm assuming you are an avid golfer and she may not be. | |

In a senior sales position, I spend a large amount of time on thegolf courses. The only thing I would not like to see, is that golfer who is so intense with the game, it takes away the enjoyment for the other players. My average game is 109 and I've broken below a 100 three times this year. (because the guys gave useful tips on the course) I have also shot two games over 125 because one of the men made comments about women having their own course and men having theirs. Both these golfers shoot in the low 80's and don't know how to JUST RELAX and enjoy the company.

Actually playing a twilight nine holes followed by a steak and a beer with an attractive woman (love the gear - suddenly thought of Bill Murray in Caddyshack ) is about as close to being in my happy place as it could get.

I tried this once many years ago. There was no attraction and she got very frustrated and cranky because frankly her game was very poor. So then it was a case of put up with her for another 4 hours until we finish the game or walk off the course early and waste the greens fees...
Now assuming she was into it, I'd say it would make for an excellent SECOND date. | |
