Being I have never been with another fire sign, I don't know. What are your thoughts on this subject? What signs seem to work best for you? | |

However, I would not avoid dating someone that did not fit into my compatible signs. Some people are truly exactly like their sign and others are not. That's just my 2cents worth. | |

Posted: 10/9/2007 4:46:35 PM | First, astrology seems to bank on fairly generic personality traits that can be applied, at one time or another, to just about anyone. It seems to be spot-on at times, but remember that a broken clock is also right twice a day too.
Secondly, and this I find very strange... some people will actually try to enhance (or live out) astrological traits, or at the very least give those traits dominance in their lives.
While I seriously doubt that a sole reliance on astrology will bring you more or less success in relationships, given the extent to which people try to bring those traits out, it certainly can't hurt to understand it.

I'm a gemini, and my most compatible sign is with a sagitarius.
But that is about to be put to the test, I recently met someone from POF and we hit it off FANTASTIC!! Two wonderful days together! and I'm going to spend this weekend with her also.
Thing is, she is a capricorn, so I'm really hoping this zodiac sign thing doesnt make a difference with us.

Love Match (Sagittarius with Aries)

Posted: 10/9/2007 7:14:36 PM | if you are one who believes in this, then you have to also put into factor the whole butting heads aspect as well. you may be a perfect match with one sign, but the flaws in each sign when put together can out weigh the compatability part. hope that made sense.
i believe in it to an extent. i think the personality traits explained for each sign are true. the core of each person never changes, but they themselves do.(natural thru the process of life. as we learn and grow, we change)
so those parts of astrology i believe. but what i stated above about the bad outweighing the good, just goes back to the effort and work that goes into growing a stronger relationship. then i think thats where fate steps in.

Can't go by the generic horror-scopes in the paper nor in the books to equate a fire sign with another fire sign.
The whole newspaper horoscopes and astrology are just way too generic.
Even those booklets that try to tell you which sign is better for you, is again, still too generic.
If you want to go with astrology, best to have your natal chart done and really look deeper into your chart. That will give you a better and more accurate picture of what you are looking at.
This is why no two Libras are the same, nor Leos or whatever.
There is alot more that comes into play than someone's Sun sign.
You can sometimes send off to have two charts compared and that may help but none of that is ever 100%. The reason why is because it can not take into account your environment and what you and a potential partner may or not have already dealt with or gone through.

And "Sex Astrology"... which discussed compatibility of a different sort.

1) Even astrologers say that you cannot really rely on someone's Sun sign, which is what most people know. Astrologers say that you need a chart done on you, and on each man, before you can begin to guess if you are compatible.
2) Astrology is not a science. It is an art. So it gives you food for thought, not black-and-white answers.
The signs that work best for me? Well, I'm a Scorpio, but with half my planets in Libra, and no fire signs in my chart whatsoever. This is what I've found:
Aries: Very upfront, and very up for it. Great for a fling, or maybe a relationship that starts with sex, but develops over time.
Taurus: Too quiet.
Gemini: Very friendly and flirty, but too changeable.
Cancer: Too crabby.
Leo: Great friends. I almost married one. If I was attracted to one, I'd go for it.
Virgo: Sexy, great talkers. But far too anal for my taste, especially in the kitchen.
Libra: I fall for these. But they always tend to have bad decisions in men, and often turn out to be the "town bike".
Scorpio: DANGER! DANGER! SEXUAL OVERLOAD! We'd probably never get out of bed. Ever.
Sagittarius: Very pretty, and very, very active. Too active hopping in & out of different people's beds.
Aquarius: Very sociable. But very aloof. I need human warmth.
Pisces: Too secretive.
Now, I'd bet that if you got 2 other Scorpios on here, they would say completely different things about Zodiac signs. But there you go. It's different for different people. | |
