I have tried to contact a few girls who live in the same city or the next city over. They are well with in the 75 mile radius, and that is what there profile says. But still when I try to contact them it says I live out side of the 75 mile limit. One girl even lives right but my, still no go.
Note that the City link in your profile is not underlined as a link? It's because NOBODY lives in a city named DT Vancouver. They live in a city called Vancouver. Change the city name and ouilla, you've fixed your problem.
Best wishes ~
PS This is common. People list West of Indianapolis (for example) as thier city, when in fact Indianapolis is what they should list.
Note that the City link in your profile is not underlined as a link?
I don't think that matters.
I could be wrong, but: I believe distances on this are calculated by postal code in Canada, or Zip codes in the USA. Whatever the person choses to enter in the city link is irrelevant.
If one of the people who you're trying to contact, has entered a postal code that's different from the city they have listed, that postal code may not be within your 75 mile radius. Or if your own postal code is different than the city you're searching in, you may not be able to contact somwe people in that city, who have distance restrictions
Note that the City link in your profile is not underlined as a link?
Not exactly sure what the Figure is, but somewhere between 25 - 50 other Users have to be registered as residing in that same Town/City before it turns into an active blue Link.
But still when I try to contact them it says I live out side of the 75 mile limit.
You can only be located via a Province/State wide Search.
Whatever the person choses to enter in the city link is irrelevant.
Enter DT Vancouver and he'll come up in your Search.
They are well with in the 75 mile radius
If you search by City, you won't come up, consequently you don't have any Location Status in Terms of Searchability, and thus not relative to anything in Reference to 75 Miles.
Correct your City and Postal Code as necessary.

Correct.

For any 'Search', when a "Name" of a City is entered it is instantly converted into a Postal Code1, which then searches for those Postal Codes1 within the Distance Radius as set out in the Mail Settings.
To compensate for any Margins of Error, for all Types of Searches as well as all Types of Contact Restrictions as set out in the Mail Settings, it "overshoots" the "Search Radius" by approx. 30%
When the Postal Code2 is missing or incorrect, the Search Functions will fail to locate a User in all 'Searches' when anything whatsoever is entered into the "City Field". By leaving the "City Search Field" blank, a User can be located via Province or State wide Search only.
Where the Postal Code2 is missing or incorrect, it "defaults" to a Search by "City", and if incorrect, fails to show up in Searches. Where a User has set Contact Restrictions in the Mail Settings to ...
Only allow messages from users within
... and has an incorrect Postal Code3, that User may not be able to receive any E-mail, nor be located in any 'Searches'.
Further, where either the Sender and/or the E-Mail Recipient has a missing or incorrect Postal Code as well as the above 75 Mile Limit Contact Restriction, E-Mails should not go through.
Setting to 20,000 Miles is no guarantee either.
This is also another Aspect why "Sent Messages" are not going through. It may yet be another Way some Users have figured out how to keep themselves off the "E-Mail Radar".
I recently moved to Kissimmee Florida from Indiana andI changed it all in my profile but it won't let me contact someone in a town close to me and when I ask for my matches I still am getting Indiana matches.
I tryed contacting someone who lives in the same city as I am in, it has the city and province underlined on both of our profiles and are exactly the same. Still when I try to contact them it says that this person only accepts messages from people who live close by. I do because there is only one Calgary,Alberta so how canI fix this.

As mentioned earlier in this thread: distances on this are calculated by postal code . Not by the name of the city you've chosen to enter.
there is only one Calgary,Alberta
Interestingly, the last 11 people to check their mail, within 50 miles of you, all live in either Red Deer or Ponoka.
Your profile may say that you live in Calgary. But I'm guessing that the postal code you entered, when creating your profile, is not a Calgary postal code.
