| favourties-->can't see me? (I do get an e-mail)
Posted: 7/4/2008 2:33:24 PM | | I received an e mail saying I had been added as someones favourite but I clicked on the wrong link in the e mail I got and I have deleted them. I tried to find them by their user name but nothing was found. How can I found out who this person was? | |

Sounds like a Hidden User. Conduct a Search as indicated in Link below:
In the Link below, how to add him to your Favourites so you can contact him.
Make sure its the same Spelling as in your Online Notification.
Further, as long as you know his User Name you can simply enter it into a New E-Mail to contact him.
And if you still can't locate or e-mail him, its for one of the Reasons shown in the Link below:

Posted: 8/25/2008 9:01:51 PM | | It is weird. I have a similar problem. When I first really became interested in POF, about June of this year, I added a more detailed profile. Two put me on their fav list, but it was not recorded at the bottom of my profile. Finally about 6 more put me on their list, but instead of showing 6, it is now showing 1. Instead of increasing numbers , they are going backwards. What is happening??? | |

A trick to tell if someone has been online recently (to weed out the dead or inactive fish in the sea) is to add them to their favorites, then check their favorites list to see when their last login was. Or it could just be someone seeing if you have logged in recently. It is a form of cyber sleuthing. They don't necessarily want to have you on their favorites. They just want to see what your patterns are to make a determination according to their own internal judgement processes. Of course it is a tip off because you do get a notification about it in your email so it is not 100% anonymous cyber sleuthing. | |
