Do you let your pets sleep with you when you are in a relationship? If so, what do you say to your "squeeze" if they object? What kind of pet do you have? Would you dump your honey if they objected. Just nosy....

My cats sleep with me every night. They would just scratch the door all night to get in if I didn't. If you love me, than you would have to love my cats.

I have a cat and a ferret. The cat is welcome on the bed as long as he doesn't plop down on top of me. I don't leave my ferret out when I'm sleeping or if I'm not home most of the time as he needs to have a certain level of supervision when he's roaming around my apartment. I'd be afraid that he might get squished by me at some point if he did sleep on the bed.

If a girlfriend objected to the cat I might be a little bothered unless it was due to an allergy. He's had a claim to a spot on my bed for nearly 9 years. You wouldn't know he was there most of the time except for the warmth he generates near the feet. Luckily, the only ex. girlfriends that I have shared a bed with on a regular basis had their own pets that they let sleep on the bed so it has never been an issue.

I object to the dogs in the bed but they sneak in after I fall asleep. I know, close the door. I'm slowly making it there. I wouldn't blame someone for not wanting them in bed - they're bed hogs.

My dog sleeps with me...........she is 4lbs though and she's not cuddly so you dont even notice she's there. Actually - its kind of a package deal with me - she follows me around like a little shadow. So wherever I am she's not too far behind. ( haha, sad but true - I wonder sometimes if that kind of attachment is unhealthy for her? LOL) If I kicked her out of the room all night she'd cry outside the door eventually and would be very upset and heartbroken.

I HAVE however - kicked her out of the bedroom during sex before. I like my privacy and an extra set of eyes staring at me from the end of the bed isnt exactly my style! LOL

Cats - Im not sure I could do cause Im so allergic - but how do you tell someones baby that they arent allowed to sleep where they usually do? LOL

Guess it just depends on the pet. : P You have to kind of be an animal lover to take that on - and not all people are. Not sure it would work if I was dating someone that wasnt while I still had my dog though..........

Each to their own but......a definite no no...

Animal fur in the bed....???

Give your dog/cat/bison/giraffe a nice chair to sleep on and go enjoy private times with your lover....

I dunno. My cats sleep where they want, sometimes on the bed, sometimes elsewhere..
if someone had issues with it. Well I probably wouldn't be involved with them. When I had dogs, they stayed ON the floor or their own beds, (course a 150 lb shepard, isnt the best sleeping companion. ) sans the one cat they are always on TOP of the covers, and the one, she's happy if she can be in or under anything. (and yes I do have to check under, pillows, throws, etc before sitting down, cause any wrinkle in something is enough of a invitation for her). Anyway.. I guess it is going to directly depend on if you are wanting to compromise, or totally change the way you live and sleep.

My cats sometimes sleep on/in the bed, and sometimes not. It's been so long since I had a sleepover relationship, I'm not sure what I would do. Sometimes I put the cats down because they bother me, so I could understand them bothering a partner. In my two-decade marriage, however, cats were welcome.

I would love to be able to let my cats sleep in my bed, but a) they're too curious and get into everything. And b) when my one cat died 2 years ago, the other cat got depressed and developed a skin condition. Her fur changed and now I'm slightly allergic to her, so to reduce my allergy symptoms I don't let her into my room.

Would I have a rel with a woman who allows (live) pets/animals in her bed (other than me)?
Depends how lovely is the pet, eh, I meant the woman is.
And whether she prefers to pet me or the pet.

I have no pets. But my ex-bf had a big lab, who always slept in bed with him. Unless I was there, he banished her to another room. She shed alot and was a hunting dog, so it kind of grossed me out if there was hair on the bed, but I loved that dog so much, she was a sweetie.

I agree with the package deal.

Relationships come and go. But a canine is forever. But then I live in a zoo with pets dogs, cats, squirel, horses and goat. So if someone wants me they would know where they stand.

Maybe when I was younger it would have been different. But I have been single for 9 years and am set in my ways.

Yes there are times when who ever warms my feet changes and times that the bed is too full in winter and I want more room. But I could not imagine life without them. They are like the children. Only they do not talk back as much.

Some nights there is over 200 pounds of dog on my bed. (I have 4). When I find someone who wants to stay, the dogs can move to the couch.

I don't have a dog... I do have a cat but she sleeps in her own spot...not my bedroom. I have an oriental fire bellied toad and I seriously doubt he'd sleep in the bed lol. When I used to keep snakes... I did fall asleep drunk on occasion with him in the bed (or my hair, to be more exact) but I'm not really a fan of animals in the bed. I have silk sheets, and animals would make shreds of them lol.
An ex of mine had a massive German Shepard called Sadie that slept in his bed and shed A LOT. I didn't mind so much as it was his house, his bed, his animal, but when she flat out refused to sleep anywhere but in BETWEEN us, it kinda made moot the whole point of sleeping over.

Pets do not belong on/in my bed, and if I am so bold as to SHARE a bed, I don't consider myself a guest.

Never trust someone that isn't close to their pets. We both had pets that slept on our beds before we met, and they still do it now. Its a very warm and comfy feeling to have them close.

Hon, I don't want a pet in my house, much less in my bed!!! Gross....animals (to me) of the four-legged variety just belong outside.

I have a velcro dog.....
Where ever I am in the house...he isnt very far away. If I leave the room, He will follow. When I am sitting..He is usually on my lap. He sleeps at my feet every night..unless I am restless and then he goes to sleep on his pillow in front of the fireplace. (but thats his choice)

If I had someone in my life that didnt like that...........then I am afraid there wouldnt be enough room in my house for them and my little pug...so they would have to go!!!

So i hope all you pet lovers that want your pet in bed have a very meaningfull realtionship with your pets as you will proably be with them before you get amate to ever stick around.

my lil pug is the most loyal attentive being, I have ever and probubly will ever have in my life...our relationship is very meaningful!! If guy doesnt want to stick around because of that, then ...SEE YA!

i wish i could have my bed to myself, but my maine coon insists on keeping an eye on me all night. he hates to sleep. he just wants to be near me. i have to mash him down and cover him to get him to settle. if i wake up, i find him staring down at me. lord knows how he'd act if he found another human in bed with me.

My ex and I had 2 dogs, a pug/shitzu and a pug. They would sleep with us every night. Mugsy was always on top of the blankets at our feet, and Maggie would always come up to the top and nudge the blankets for us to lift them. Then she would go underneath and to the foot of the bed as well. I would set my alarm a bit early so I could pet them and cuddle with them a bit before I had to go to work. The minute you touched Mugsy, he would roll onto his back for a tummy rub, even if he was sleeping. LOL I miss my dogs.

Dozer sleeps in his own bed, and he's quite happy with that.

my cat sleeps with me every night, and if my SO (or I) actually wanted to get some sleep, he'd have to let her... she would definitely make her displeasure known! in very loud and annoying ways, all night long. however, she doesn't take up a lot of space :-)
