seems that at least one more state has decided to take matters into it's own
hands, since the Federal Government keeps dragging it's feet on this Illegal
alien stuff and even reversing popular opinion on how to handle it.
BRAVO OKLAHOMA! (Too bad all politicians don't have the 'guts' to do this)
Every State needs to do this!!!! I think Georgia did too!
Oklahoma's Governor Brad Henry has signed a sweeping immigration Reform
bill: House Bill 1804, that its sponsor believes will go a long way in
dealing with the illegal alien problem in the state.
House Bill 1804 was passed by overwhelming majorities in both the House and
Senate of the Oklahoma Legislature. The measure's sponsor, State
Representative Randy Terrill, says the bill has four main topical areas: it
deals with identity theft; it terminates public assistance benefits to
illegal; it empowers state and local police to enforce federal immigration
laws; and it punishes employers who knowingly hire illegal aliens.
Oklahoma is no longer "O.K." for illegal aliens, Terrill observes. "When you
put everything together in context," he contends, "the bottom line is
illegal aliens will not come here if there are no jobs waiting for them,
they will not stay here if there is no government subsidy, and they
certainly won't stay here if they know that if they ever encounter our state
and local law enforcement officers, they will be physically detained until
they're deported. And that's exactly what House Bill 1804 does."
The Oklahoma legislator is pleased the bill he sponsored into law was signed
by Governor Henry and believes it will go a long way to curb the illegal
immigration problem in the state. "I would remind people that states are
separate sovereigns in our federal system," Terrill points out. "Anyone who
doesn't understand that needs to go back and take an American federal
government class in college," he says.
As a result of that sovereignty, the Oklahoma lawmaker insists, "We have as
much right - in fact, I would argue, a responsibility - to protect our tax
payers against that sort of egregious waste, fraud and abuse as the federal
government should have a responsibility to protect that international
border, but doesn't do that."
Terrill says as long as the federal government refuses to do its job of
protecting the international borders of the United States, states like
Oklahoma must take action to deal with the problem that is costing taxpayers
in the state $200 billion a year in public benefits, law enforcement costs,
and other resources.

We dont need to be the world's police (we only seem to care about the countries that have oil) and we certainly dont need to be feeding the world and giving health care to illegals when the hardworking tax payers are coming down with cancer and cant get any heath care!!!

Do your homework.
If a State rounds up, houses, feeds, provides Medical assistance,transports to a deportation station and escorts them to their border, they could be in deficit for up to about 5 years. After that time, the monies can be used to the benifit of legal, US citizens.
In contrast, allowing them to stay is a deficit at a lifetime.
You speak as if you're a State representation. Speak only for yourself. You admit to welcoming illegal activity? Every state I've investigated has in the works some type of legislation dealing with deportation of illegals. Be it Mexican, Canadian or from whatever other country.

1st: Did you not see the BILLIONS of DOLLARS of "dimes" they are being given for their "need"? I don't think this is racist because there is no PARTICULAR race mentioned. Besides, all americans are from somewhere other than America unless you are one of the original Native Americans. I am part Cherokee, but my ancestors were also German, Irish and Dutch! We are talking "Illegal" aliens. What entitles somebody who is breaking the law to assistance to stay here "illegally"? 2nd: I have been on both sides of the government assistance situation. I have given of my time , blood, sweat, tears and money all of my life. However, there was a one-year period of time when I needed help because my husband was in a severe automobile accident. You would not believe the suffering I went through trying to get help when the majority of people getting assistance had to have translators! I was jumping through hoops just trying to make ends meet, having to take time off of work (which I couldn't afford to do!) to wait in line and present all of my honest, lawful paperwork showing that I was a full-time student with a part-time job (back to college at 38), my husband's medical records and doctor's statements, birth certificates, social security cards, etc.! Our system is definately in need of some over-hauling! I am proud to be from Oklahoma where something is finally getting done that is LOOOONG overdue!  | |

i'm tired of hearing the liberals say that illegals take jobs that americans don't want, reduce cost of services, etc...................at this point the shortcomings of allowing illegals has superseded the benefits and its high time we put a stop to it!
.....on average, only 3/5 of illegals actually take off the book jobs.....all the others are either in here for criminal activities or they are just non-employable
.....as far as the jobs 'not taken by americans'!!!..........they would all be quickly filled by our legal unskilled able-bodied workers if the government would attach 'work' pre-conditions in order to receive welfare benefits!

I wont be able to get my already expensive fruits and vegetables on the table... cause Americans themselves are too good for that type of job...
I guess schools and public places will be dirty, because immigrant aliens tend to take that kind of shitty ass job...
I wonder who will work the "s h i t processing plants" because I don't know anybody that is not an immigrant alien that is willing to do that...
