I don't know how other Ladies feel but I am very tired of looking at a photo on a profile and then finding out it is years old. I don't care what you looked like years ago. I want to see what you look like now. Photos should be updated every couple of months. A friend of mine was on this site 4 yrs. ago and she is laughing because there are men on here who have been on here those 4 years and still have the same photo!
I don't like it when men put photos of their toys on their profile. I am here to find a man...NOT to buy a car, cycle, boat, or pet. Sure it is ok to show what you own but I feel that you should have more photos of yourself and less of what you own. Do you want a woman who goes for you because you drive a Corvette or a Harley. You know it is not going to be a lasting relationship. But maybe if your out for a 1 nite stand, a photo of your Harley might work.
Men with no photos>>>why even bother to put up a profile?
When I see a profile with no photo....right away I think...either this man is to stupid to put a photo on or he is to embarrased to show what he looks like. I have had guys who say they don't know how to put a photo on but then they turn around and ask if they can IM you and do the photo share. If they know how to do that...they can put a photo on their profile!!!!!!!! | |

Sarcasm does not always come through well online. With the amplification of your original post I can see what you mean and I hope you will accept my apology for the remarks about pets.
I realize you do not see many female profiles like I view very few mens, but I have seen profiles of one off focus or dark picture of the poster and 6-8 wonderful pictures of thier pets or of sceniac vistas which to me tell very little of the actual person so it works both ways.
You work from your end and I will work from mine to try to get people to show themselves better online, OK? | |

I hope mine looks o.k.....Also we are looking for a mate and it is nice to see what they look like today. I don't want to see scenic photos or a photo of them out in their boat and it's so far away you can't see them. I like to see a close up facial...With no sunglasses...I want to look into the eyes and see if I can feel a connection before I bother them.. I also think they should have a few more photos handy incase you would like to see more...maybe from a different view. Some men come a long way to met...and I would like a to have a good interest in them before they waste their time with traveling. | |

2. The current rules, which I dislike, require a facial photo if you have a photo.
3. The inclusion of toys, pets, children, etc all help define who that person is. If you don't like what you see of the accesories, they are not the person for you.
4. I can also understand why many people who live in a small community would not want their picture all over the web! Would you ladies be comfortable putting your profile and pictures in your local newspaper? Same effect in a small community if someone sees your profile with picture on here. My pictures are only to share after I have exchanged a few E-mails. | |

Seriously, other than the beard/clean shaven, which changes semi-annually, I haven't changed in 8-10 years, other than I may have dropped a few pounds this year.
I don't mind a pic or two of the "accessories" that make someone who they are, but I want to see faces and body shots, too, and not from a mile away. | |

Did you ever hear that Toby Keith song "Wanna talk about me, wanna talk about I, wanna talk about number one, oh my me my. . ."
I felt like he was too showy right off the bat. Too materialistic and not for moi.

I'm a bit of a gear head and just as I like the car, 4x4, and snowmobile magazines, I don't mind looking at the pics the guys post. There's been many times I've thought "dang! Nice bike! I'd love to go for a ride on that thing - now if I could just ditch the one if the front!" Kidding! Seriously though, it's like the pic I post of my dogs. Love me, they come with. You might not necessarily like them, but be warned, I come with 320lbs of dog. If you like something and it is a part of your lifestyle, feel free to post whatever you want guys! Although I will say, stop with the shirt off in the bathroom stuff - makes you look like a dork... Not cool...  | |

As far as expecting men to update their picture every 2 months...
I've seen a lot of women's pics on here and other sites that haven't been changed in years, so don't hold the men solely accountable for this. And 2 month updates is pretty unrealistic. That said, I graduated high school over 30 years ago and I'm NOT posting my senior picture either. I don't look the same as I did then.
I think if someone still looks like their photo, leave it up. | |

I have nothing against Harleys, but I would like to see fewer of them?
I am not defined by my motorcycle. I am defined by my faith and I use the bike to reach others who may not have heard HIS word. If you don't want to ride 3 out of 4 weekends in the summer on the back of the bike we probably wouldn't click anyway so me and the bike pictures stay in.
That is one of the nice things about this site, there is something for everyone here. | |

What about women who are wearing worn out wife-beater top with her nipples standing at attention, flipping off the camera or doing the same things? I mean, if a woman is going to show her wares, I'm gonna look. (Who wouldn't?) But I have to ask myself two questions. Regardless of how good looking a woman is, would I want my kids to be seen in public with this woman dressed in such a way? And would I want this woman to be with my kids? | |

My photo is a day old... the main one anyway and I do not post photos of my car- who cares, like a boat or a bike is going to lure me in... hardly...
and no photo pisses me off.. I am about to change my mail setting to no photo no talk.. plain and simple.. | |
