Posted: 10/24/2007 11:35:54 PM | No tight jeans and too small tops here thank you! I much prefer to feel comfortable. This is not to say I dress slouchy (well I wont go out in public looking like a slouch, however, in my own home.. I dress however I want. Which nine times out of ten is things I would die if others seen me in) but rather, I dress comfortably but appealingly.
I would have to agree with kungfuguitarist though. I suspect it is to garner as much attention as they can.
P.S kungfuguitarist, your name has given my fingers a work out trying to get that out right! LOL | |

this is right for me, well no the self conscious bit, but when i get dressed its fin, when im out walking, lifting stuff moving around th top can ride up and become uncomfortable. so i pull it back down
some tops are just out to get woman though, you breathe and the make a dash north | |

Posted: 10/25/2007 5:03:22 AM | Most of the time with low rise jeans there's this like, gap of flesh between the top of the jeans and the bottom of the shirt and it gets cold. So the shirt gets pulled down. It's not covering up for modesty, it's covering up for comfort.
Now as to going out like that in the first place, some women just don't think out their wardrobe selection, and others don't think that there'll be as much of a draft or whatnot.
Not to mention the fashion trend with jeans making all the really cute ones have super low waists, and the ones that have a standard rise look like mom pants :(
Longer shirts usually also have the unfortunate side effect of being very unflattering with low rise pants, depending on the cut of the shirt. | |

The reason I ask is that I pass by many people on the street near my office and I tend to cross paths with a number of attractive women. I'm not one to turn away from a beautiful sight so I will unapologetically look at them as I appreciate what I see.
Sometimes they will adjust their clothing in a nervous way, others they will stare down at the sidewalk only to dart their eyes at mine RIGHT as we pass each other, and others will be stone cold corporate about the whole affair.
In my experience, their clothing could truly be uncomfortable. Or it could be that I sometimes get a predatory look upon my face when I eye a nice looking woman (so I've been told).
With regard to your second question...part of me thinks that women dress the way they do more to one-up other women and less to turn us (men) on.

In may day, I remember tuging on my miniskirt when I was walking down the street, but inside, I was quite fine with it.

may not feel as comfortable, once we are outside. I try to avoid that problem, by going out onto my balcony for
a "weather check", before leaving home, but again, I can't predict what the weather will be like later.
Personally, if it happens to me, I try & ignore it, because I've seen other people do it & yeah, it looks dorky. And
it doesn't really help much, anyway.

Posted: 10/25/2007 4:18:00 PM | Like other posters have said, when you try on clothes, you are not traditionally doing a workout in them. My problem is not shirts, it is skirts. I have a long leg stride so one minute I could be wearing a skirt and the next it could be a belt.
