| E-cards, are they good or cheap and nasty? Posted: 10/25/2007 9:23:51 AM | Done a search thank you for asking Officer!
I received an e-card on my last birthday from someone who sends them all the time, christmas, birthdays, special occasions..........et al.
Is this the way we will soon be celebrating every occasion...... I for one love receiving cards, and feel that especially at christmas the house looks lovely with them hanging up. If I receive any this year, I will feel really sad as you can't hang them up. The house will look empty without the good old fashioned christmas cards in place.
Will you be sending them (e-cards) this year, instead of the traditional ones? Do you think they can express the same feelings as a real one? What do you think of people who send them, are they cheapskates, economists or realists (life will soon be like this everywhere)? So what do you think of E-cards?
Discuss nicely please...............

Posted: 10/25/2007 9:29:36 AM | I think Ecards can be fine if it's just a freindly gesture but they shouldn't be given out for special occasions like Bdays and xmas.. etc. It is more meaningful to hand sombody a card letting that person know that you went out and purchased this card especially for them. That's sweet.

Online card companies like: http://www.moonpig.com (to name just one) where you can create a real card online and it's printed and posted for you.

So yeah i think there a nice way to send a greeting to someone

Posted: 10/25/2007 10:07:26 AM | | i got an e card for my birthday from my sister yesterday made me laugh..she also bought me a "normal" birthday card too. E cards are something we send each other just to brighten the others day, just to let the other know we're thinking of them.

| E-cards, are they good or cheap and nasty? Posted: 10/25/2007 10:48:18 AM | Sometimes people have access to the internet but nowhere to send a traditional card to safely. In those circumstances e-cards they are excellent.
(2 examples - when my son was studying in Germany and had no fixed address at the time of his birthday, and I have a friend who works in Antartica who receives no post for the duration but they do have intermittent internet access)

No they won't. Only someone like you would say a thing like that. Stop trying to cause trouble. (1-0...1-0....1-0...1-0....)
