a man he was 'beautiful'.. and what would you mean..???

Honorable, dignified, smart, witty, charming - the total package. Normally I say a guy is hot or cute - very few have garnered the honour of being called beautiful. | |

Posted: 10/27/2007 12:39:24 AM | Sometimes there is just no better word to describe a person. Beautiful does not refer solely to a woman, a man can be very beautiful.
His soul, his personality, how he portrays himself; these are all things that cannot be defined by 'handsome' or 'sexy'. Beauty is deeper than that. It may not refer to your looks, but you as a person.
Take it as a major compliment if a woman calls you beautiful. It probably means she cares about you a great deal more than you might expect. | |

Beautiful to me means no other word can describe that person. Beauty as we all know or at least should know it's an intense quality that we can find in a person. It's not always about the physical. | |

I think also, it would pertain to an essence in his nature that holds the capacity for tenderness and sensitivity, combined with internal and external qualities. A gorgeous guy who is genuinely nice and a superior person would be
beautiful. A gorgeous and successful Alpha male that was insensitive and conceited would never be "beautiful" wouldn`t matter how good he looked. Get it? | |

Posted: 10/28/2007 9:19:22 PM | I agree with the other posters who said that saying a man is beautiful is an all encompassing description of his physicality, emotional makeup, strength of character...everything. Where there just aren't enough words to concisely describe someone or something...that's the word that comes to mind.
The descriptive word "beautiful" isn't limited to one gender, one species or even one element. Sunsets are beautiful, redwoods are beautiful, horses are beautiful, burning embers are beautiful....etc. | |

But I have been know to say your eyes are beautiful.. I may say other things about him are beautiful..
To me when I give a man a totaly compliment it would be to say you are an incredibly beautiful person. That means he could be uglier than a mud fence on the outside but his inner beauty is breath taking | |

Posted: 10/28/2007 11:12:54 PM | On the contrary to what some of the other ladies have suggested, beautiful is something we all are if our personalities are clean and our character is pure and we are genuine and we do the best we can to be good human beings and be good to others and having a heart of gold and someone who is true to themselves.
Beautiful does NOT mean the total package because that would mean someone is perfect, and beleive me, all of us are way far from perfect. So some people have that confused, true beauty comes from within, and remember, there is no such a thing as the "total package". If one person is the "total package" then logically it would follow that another person who has a great character and is a great human being and tries their best ect is also a total package, regardless of outside appearance.
Even though I think this lady meant also outside appearance when she reffered to you as beautiful, what it really means in it's essense, is a beautiful heart or a beautiful soul or a beautiful spirit.
A persons appearance does not give them dignity or superiority over another, those ladies that said that are mistaken for obvious reasons, the "ultimate male" msg 2 is a male who is dignified in himself and is well established in his spirit and character. An Ultimate male comes from what the man can do and what he is about, NOT what he just so happens to look like, but rather who he CHOOSES to be as a human being and his work ethic, values, principles, intregrity, respect for others and himself and his humanness. A man can be 60 or 80 years old/young, and be all wrinkly, totally bald, 5'3 and speak with a very hard foreign accent from a far off part of the world from a remote tribe, and he could still be "the ultimate male" if his inner character and how he handles and takes care of himself and others is morally and ethically right and helpful for the community and himself.
He doesn't have to look like Johhny Depp to be an "ultimate man". So either the "ultiumate man" doesn't really exists, because no one is perfect, OR there are MANY people that could qualify to be the ultimate man if people really too the time to get to know them, thus it being more common then perhapes you among others would like to think or beleive.
Same with women by the way. Mother Teresa (God bless her soul) to me, is more of an "ultimate woman" then a Brittney Spears or a Madonna or a Carmen Electra ect.
You see where I am getting with this and why it is this way? I think if many of us would just learn to look with our hearts and also with our intellect as opposed to going by what society and the media and Hollywoood and the ACLU and MTV and our own eyes tell us about a person, we would be surprised on how many of these great people are really around if we but dare to see.
