Zesty Spice Shaker - salt substitute 1 tsp. chili powder 1 tbsp. garlic powder 2 tbsp. dry mustard 6 tbsp. onion powder 2 tsp. ground oregano 3 tbsp. paprika 2 tsp. black pepper 1 tbsp. poultry seasoning
No Salt Spice Mixture 5 tsp. onion powder 1 tbsp. paprika 1 tsp. thyme 1/2 tsp. celery seeds 1 tbsp. garlic powder 1 tbsp. dry mustard 1/2 tsp. white pepper
Mix all together very well - use as seasoning in place of salt.
Seasoned salt 1 c. salt 1 1/2 tsp. celery salt 1 tsp. dried thyme leaves, crushed fine 1 1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves, crushed fine 1 tsp. curry powder 2 1/2 tsp. paprika 2 tsp. dry mustard 1/2 tsp. onion powder 1/4 tsp. dry dill seed (optional) Mix all ingredients in a medium mixing bowl. Place in jars with tight fitting lids. Keep in cool place. Yield: approximately 1 1/4 cups.

Gourmet Salt Mix together and store in airtight container. Makes 1 cup 1 1/2 c. salt 2 tsp. thyme 2 tsp. ground marjoram 2 tsp. garlic salt 3 tsp. paprika 2 tsp. curry powder 4 tsp. dry mustard 1 tsp. onion salt Mix and pour into shakers.
Gourmet seasoning salt 1 c. salt 2 tsp. dry mustard 1 1/2 tsp. dried whole oregano 1 tsp. ground marjoram 1 tsp. dried whole thyme 1 tsp. garlic powder 1 tsp. curry powder 1/2 tsp. celery seeds
Combine all ingredients; mix well. Store in an air tight container. To Use: Sprinkle over meat, especially chicken or vegetables. Yield: 1 1/4 cups seasonings. | |
